Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA: FDA and CDC are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Bovismorbificans infections linked to broccoli sprouts grown by Evergreen Fresh Sprouts, LLC. Two people have been hospitalized, and a total of 22 people have been confirmed to be part of this outbreak so far. Outbreak cases have been reported in four states: Washington, Montana, Idaho, and Utah. According to the FDA’s Outbreak Investigation notice, the implicated sprouts have been recalled; however there has been no public recall notice posted as of today, and no recall listed in the Enforcement Report database.
