OUTBREAK ALERT: CDC investigating Salmonella Newport outbreak linked to consumption of raw, frozen ground tuna from Vietnam.

OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: PHAC has recorded seven additional cases of Salmonella Enteritidis infections in an outbreak that now encompasses 70 individuals in six provinces: British Columbia (27), Alberta (12), Saskatchewan (8), Manitoba (10), Ontario (11) and Quebec (2). Eighteen people have been hospitalized so far. The source of the outbreak has not yet been identified.
