Food Safety Recall: Cozy Vale Creamery is advising consumers to discontinue consumption of their retail raw milk and cream products with the best by dates of 12-14 through 12-23 after the Washington State Department of Agriculture found shigatoxin-producing E. coli in a sample of retail raw cream dated 12-14. Consumers shouild dispose of or return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Canada

Allergy Alert: L’Hippie-Curienne recalls four varieties of Assaisonnement à tartare / Tartar seasoning (125g; Best before NOV 2022) due to undeclared soy. Please refer to the recall notice for a list of affected varieties.

Food Safety Recall: Au Ciel Café bistro recalls three varieties of soup (1L glass jars; sold up to 11 December 2020) because the products were not held at refrigeration temperature from time of purchase and lacked required labelling instructions to “keep refrigerated.”

Food Safety Recall: My Grandfather’s Farm recalls My Grandfather’s Farm brand Pumpkin Pie Jam (250 ml Mason jar; Date code September 10, 2020) because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The recalled product was distributed only in Nova Scotia. No illnesses have been reported.

OUTBREAK ALERT: Minnesota Department of Health is investigating an outbreak of nine (9) Salmonella Paratyphi cases linked to the NéktƏr Juice Bar in Woodbury, Minnesota. Two victims have been hospitalized. State and county investigators are working to identify a specific food source for the illnesses.

Public Health Alert: FSIS issues alert for ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken and pork tamale products containing Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated diced tomatoes in puree that have been recalled by the producer, due to possible foreign matter (hard plastic) contamination. OUTBREAK ALERT (Belgium & France): Dry sausage products from France may be the cause of an unspecified number of cases of Salmonella Bovismorbificans illnesses in Belgium and/or France, according to information posted on the RASFF portal. Dry sausages manufactured by the French company, FRANCE SALAISONS (Packager code FR 69.238.010 CE) were recalled earlier this month.
