OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION UPDATE (Norway): The Salmonella Agona outbreak under investigation in Norway has increased to 42 confirmed cases in several counties across the country. The source of the outbreak is still undetermined.

Allergy Alert (Belgium): Cruzilles SAS recalls Cruzilles brand pâtes de fruits mini-pastilles acidulées / Acid Mini Pastille – Fruit Jellies (210g; Lot 22827; Best before 04.2023) due to undeclared milk.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION (Hong Kong):  The Centre for Food Safety is investigating four food poisoning clusters involving lava cake. The lava cake was found to be contaminated with Salmonella Group D. The restaurant has already stopped selling and discarded the affected product.

Food Safety Recall (New Zealand): Pak’n Save Dunedin recalls Pak’n Save Dunedin brand Pork Mince (Various weights; Packed on 23/11/2022; Best before 26/11/2022) due to foreign matter contamination (pink plastic).

Food Safety Recall (New Zealand): Davis Trading Company Ltd recalls Attitude Foods, Bin Inn, Essenté, Farm By Nature, Foodfirst, Fresh Line, Icelandic and Wholesale Foods brands of black poppy seed as product was incorrectly sold direct to consumers. Product was intended to be sold only as an ingredient for use in making other foods. People who consume large amounts of poppy seeds, including by consuming poppy seed tea are the most at risk of adverse reactions. Anyone who consumes poppy seed tea and experiences any unusual and severe symptoms should seek urgent medical assistance.
