Food Safety Recall: Bob Evans Farms, Inc. recalls approximately 42,246 pounds of pork sausage link products due to possible foreign matter (pieces of clear hard plastic) contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to retail locations in Ind., Ill., Ky., Md., Mich., Mo., N.J., N.Y., N.C., Ohio, Pa., Va., and Wis.

Pet Food Safety Recall: Bravo Packing, Inc. recalls all Performance Dog raw, frozen pet food products due to potential Salmonella contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for additional details.

OTC Topical Product Safety Recall: BioLyte Laboratories recalls NeoRelief for Muscle Cramping and Restlessness Topical Gel (various sizes and lot numbers) due to potential microbial contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Canada

Allergy Alert: Five Continents International Inc. recalls Lonely God brand Potato Rice Chips Barbecue Flavor (70g; All packages; UPC 6931958020229) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Ontario.

Food Safety Recall: Fourchette Vrignon (Montreal, QC) recalls Gourmet Go brand SAUCE À SPAGHETTI À LA VIANDE / Spaghetti sauce with meat (variable weight in glass jars; all product sold from June 2018 through September 11, 2018) because the product was have been manufactured under conditions that may have compromised its safety.

Food Safety Recall: CTI Foods LLC recalls FULLY COOKED PHILLY BEEF STEAK SLICED Caramel Color Added (cardboard cases labeled Classic Sysco having a NET WT of 10 lbs; Package code 4887097; Produced Aug. 9, 2018) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was shipped to a food service warehouse in Hamilton, Ohio and were further distributed to food service locations.

Food Safety Recall: Roya Foods, LLC recalls raw Halal Manti Beef Dumplings (1-lb. clear plastic containers; produced on various dates from May 2, 2018 to August 29, 2018) because the dumplings were produced without the benefit of inspection.

Allergy Alert: Kim Châu Vietnamese Deli Ltd. recalls Kim Châu brand Spring Roll (All packages where egg and wheat are not declared on the label; UPC 6 22384 00010 2) due to undeclared egg and wheat. The recalled product was sold at the retail level in British Columbia.

Allergy Alert (France): Intermarché recalls PODIS brand Brioche aux pépites de chocolate / Brioche with chocolate chips (Lot #P0118242; Best before 23/09/2018) due to undeclared almonds.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): PepsiCo recalls Duyvis Peanuts zout-Sel (200g; Lots 0001005431 & 0000998957; Expiry dates 13/07/2019 & 20/07/2019) due to elevated aflatoxin level.

Food Safety Recall (Ireland): Baby Pure Water Ltd. recalls Pure Water and Baby Pure Water (All pack sizes; All batch codes) due to insufficient controls at the production facility.

Food Safety Recall (Italy): Ovo Fucens Soc. sempl. recalls Raw Shell Eggs (Best before 11-09-18 to 07-10-18) due to Salmonella Enteritidis contamination.

FDA, CDC investigating Salmonella outbreak linked to shell eggs

Raw shell eggs from Gravel Ridge Farms (Cullman County, Alabama) are being blamed for 14 cases of Salmonella Enteritidis illnesses in Tennessee and Alabama according to reports from FDA and CDC.

Illnesses started on dates ranging from July 10, 2018 to August 7, 2018; two victims were hospitalized.

Thirteen of the 14 outbreak patients reported eating restaurant dishes made with eggs. FDA and state partners traced the source of the shell eggs supplied to these restaurants to Gravel Ridge Farms.

On September 8th, Gravel Ridge Farms recalled Gravel Ridge Farms Large Cage Free Eggs (Single Dozen and 2.5 Dozen Flats; Use by 7/25/18 through 10/3/18; UPC 7-06970-38444-6), and has ceased the production and distribution of the product while FDA and the company investigate the source of the contamination.

Recalled product was distributed between 6/25/2018 and 9/6/2018. These products were packaged in a cardboard container and sold primarily in restaurants and retail stores in AL, GA, and TN.

Consumers who have purchased these products should return them to the store for refund or discard the product immediately. If any consumers have Gravel Ridge Farms eggs in their refrigerator, they should be discarded, regardless of the date stamped on the package.
