Allergy Alert: Rico Perez Products, Inc. recalls Dr. Rico Perez Super Kids Colostrum chewable tablets (60-count bottles; Lots 1117002, 0122003 & 0223539; Exp. 04/30/2023, 07/31/2024 & 11/30/2025, respectively) due to undeclared milk.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: PHAC is investigating an outbreak of 45 confirmed cases of Salmonella illness due to contact with snakes and rodents. Outbreak cases have been confirmed in eight provinces, including British Columbia (1), Alberta (5), Saskatchewan (1), Manitoba (3), Ontario (22), Quebec (11), New Brunswick (1) and Newfoundland and Labrador (1). Nine individuals have been hospitalized, and one person has died. Nine of the outbreak victims are children under five years of age.
Allergy Alert: Paradis Vegetarien recalls Paradis Végétarien brand Veg-O-Mix Ham Flavour (1000g; Batch code 12700920; UPC 8 423730 002694) due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was sold in the province of Québec.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION (Spain): More that 40 individuals were stricken with food poisoning after eating a range of dishes prepared as part of a MasterChef cooking show, according to a report in Food Safety News.
