OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: FDA and CDC continue their investigation into the source of a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora illnesses linked to Fresh Express Salad Mix served at McDonalds outlets in IL, IA, IN, WI, MI, OH, MN, NE, SD, MT, ND, KY, WV, and MO. As of August 16th, the federal agencies have received reports of 476 illnesses in 15 states.

Allergy Alert: Marsee Foods, Inc. dba Marsee Baking recalls chocolate chip, ginger spice, and oatmeal raisin cookies sold at Café Yumm! restaurants due to undeclared peanuts. The recalled products were sold at Café Yumm! restaurants in Oregon and Washington between August 6, 2018 and August 15, 2018.

OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: As of August 9, 2018, a total of 436 laboratory-confirmed cases of Cyclospora infection were reported in people who consumed salads from McDonald’s restaurants; the cases were reported by 15 states. The investigation is ongoing and the FDA is currently reviewing distribution and supplier information for romaine and carrots.

Allergy Alert: Country Favor Inc. recalls Best Taste Brand Snack Ginger Sliced food treats (7-oz pkg; Product of Vietnam) due to undeclared sulfites.
