United States

Allergy Alert: Ralphs advises customers who may be allergic to almonds to avoid consuming SKINNYGIRL, MILK CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES WITH SEA SALT (3.6 oz; Best by 06/2018; UPC 851342-00658) as the product may contain undeclared almonds. The SkinnyGirl Milk Chocolate Truffles with Sea Salt were sold in all Ralphs stores.

Allergy Alert: Elevation Brands/Ian’s Natural Foods recalls Ian’s Italian Panko Breadcrumbs (9 oz; Use by 28 DEC 17, 29 DEC 17 and 22 MAR 18; UPC 4951277220) due to possible traces of undeclared dairy (milk protein). The recalled product was sold at Publix supermarkets.

Food Safety Recall: Publix Super Markets recalls Publix Tropical Medley Mix (5.7oz clear plastic containers; all use-by dates; UPC 41415088586) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was sold from Publix retail produce departments in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Canada

Outbreak Alert: Public Health Agency of Canada has received confirmed reports of seven cases of Salmonella Enteritidis infections linked to consumption of frozen, raw breaded chicken products. Illnesses were reported in British Columbia (1), Alberta (4), Ontario (1) and New Brunswick (1), beginning the week of April 9th. Two people have been hospitalized. A specific product or group of products has not yet been identified as the source of this outbreak.

Outbreak Alert/Food Safety Recall: The Québec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Montréal Division of Food Inspection have received reports of several cases of Norovirus infections linked to Gelsius IQF Whole Raspberries supplied by Distribution Farinex (113712 Canada Inc.) to hotels, restaurants and institutional customers in Québec and Ontario. The recalled raspberries were distributed to retailers across Québec. Please refer to the MAPAQ Food Safety Alert for a detailed distribution list.

Europe

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Gabriel s.c. recalls Assiette nordique brand Smoked Fish (150g; Lot #17 EWYC; Expiration dates 06/07/2017, 08/07/2017, 12/07/2017, 14/07/2017, 15/07/2017 and 16/07/2017) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was sold in Cora, Spar, Spar concept, Eurospar, ABC, and Alvo stores.

Food Safety Recall (UK): Sainsbury’s recalls several of its Deli Fillers products due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a detailed list of affected products.

Allergy Alert: Maxi Canada, Inc. recalls an undetermined amount of breaded chicken products due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a detailed list of products, which were imported from Canada and shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Allergy Alert: The Wornick Company recalls Sam’s Choice ASIAN STYLE BEEF WONTON Ravioli (14.5-oz. plastic bowl packages; BEST IF USED BY” dates of Feb. 22, 2018 and Mar. 28, 2018.) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert: H-E-B recalls H-E-B Creamy Creations Cherry Vanilla Light Churn Style Half-Gallon Ice Cream (SELL BY OCT 19 17 ENJOY BY NOV 18 17 with a time stamp of 13:48, 13:49, 13:50, 13:51, 13:52, 13:53, 13:54, 13:55, 13:56, 13:57, or 13:58) due to undeclared almonds. The recalled product was available only in H-E-B stores in Carrizo Springs, Crystal City, Eagle Pass #2, Lytle and Pearsall.

Food Safety Recall: Overhill Farms, Inc. recalls approximately 54,630 pounds of chicken bites products that may be contaminated with bone. Please refer to the recall notice for a detailed list of affected products, which were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Canada

Allergy Alert: APO Products Ltd., Corinthian Distributors Ltd., UNO Foods Ltd., Wilby Commercial Limited recall Jack ‘n Jill Chippy Barbecue Flavored Corn Chips (110g and 220g; All codes; UPC 4 800016 101328 & 4 800016 101069, respectively) due to undeclared mustard.

Allergy Alert: Hung Wang Food Inc. recalls Japanese Udon Noodles (400g; JUL04; UPC 0 69925 18111 9) due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was supplied to retailers in Ontario and Quebec.

Food Safety Recall: Distribution Farinex (113712 Canada Inc.) recalls Gelsius IQF Whole Raspberries (5 x 1 kg; Product code 16092903; no UPC) due to possible norovirus contamination. The recalled product was supplied to hotels, restaurants and institutional customers in Ontario and Quebec.

Allergy Alert (Australia): A & W Hollier Wholesale Distributors Pty Ltd recalls Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Chocolate block (113g; Batch codes: 96E09133 (BB 03/2018), 12S09111 (BB 05/2018),12S09112 (BB 05/2018), 12S09113 (BB 05/2018); product of USA) due to undeclared almonds and wheat/gluten. The recalled product was sold at Aldi Supermarkets in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, and WA.

Allergy Alert (Australia): A & W Hollier Wholesale Distributors Pty Ltd recalls Hershey’s Kitchens Premier White Chips (BB 04/2018; product of USA), Hershey’s Kisses Creamy Milk Chocolate with Almonds (BB 07/04/2018, 21/02/2018; product of China) and  Hershey’s Kisses Cookies ‘n’ Creme (BB 03/11/2017, 05/04/2018; product of China) due to undeclared peanuts and treenuts. The recalled products were sold Aldi Supermarkets in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, and WA.

Allergy Alert: JFC International Inc. recalls Futaba Sesame Hijiki Rice Seasoning (2.29 oz; all lots; UPC 4 902533 023173) due to missing English-language label and undeclared Wheat, Soybean, and Fish (Bonito). The recalled product was distributed between 06/19/16 and 06/19/17 to retail stores and other foodservice operators in the states of AZ, CA, CO, CT, MA, MD, NC, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WV.

Allergy Alert (Update): Embutidos Fanguito, Inc. recalls Embutidos El Fanguito Chorizo (2 oz pkg; sell by date of Sept. 17, 2017) due to mislabeling and undeclared soy and monosodium glutamate.

Allergy Alert: United Natural Foods, Incorporated recalls Fat Cat Purry-Purry Sauce Hot Sauce (5-oz glass bottle; Lot FCPPMAY092019) due to undeclared peanuts. The recalled product was supplied to Winn-Dixie Supermarkets, BI-LO Supermarkets and Harvey’s Supermarkets in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Louisiana.

Allergy Alert (Expansion): Channel Fish Processing Co., Inc. recalls approximately 1,190 pounds of breaded Swai products due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to institutional locations in Indiana.

Allergy Alert: Northern Food I/E Inc. recalls RA’s Farm dried apricots (12 oz pkgs; UPC 754351-144424) due to undeclared sulfites. The recalled product was distributed in New York State.

Food Safety Recall: United Natural Trading LLC recalls a limited number of products containing Organic and Natural dates sold under the Nature’s Promise, Woodstock, Market Basket, and Wholesome Pantry brands due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to retailers and distributors throughout the United States.

Food Safety Recall: House of Thaller recalls selected 10 ounce packages of Fresh Foods Market, Lantana, and Marketside brands of Hummus with Pine Nut Topping due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
