Food Safety Recall: Berlin Seeds recalls Alfalfa Sprouting Seed (1/4 lb., 1/2 lb., 1 lb., 5 lb., and 50 lb.; 5- and 50-lb sizes bear lot #SAL2-24JB) due to possible Salmonella and shiga toxin-producing E. coli contamination. The recalled seeds were sold by Berlin Seeds at their retail store in Millersburg, OH and through their company website from February 13, 2026 to August 23, 2026 to customers in AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY.
Pet Food Safety Recall: GreenTripe.com,Inc. recalls GreenTripe.com Frozen Dog Food Xkaliber (1 lb, 2 lb, & 5 lb; Production date August 11, 2026) due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recalled products were distributed to consignees in CA, NM, WA, and CO.
Consent Decree: U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota entered a consent decree of permanent injunction against Gold Star Distribution, Inc., a Minnesota-based multi-commodity warehouse operator, and its owner, Bassam Abu Samrah, after the FDA observed persistent insanitary conditions, including severe rodent and pest infestations, that put food, drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics at risk of potential contamination with filth. The FDA issued a Warning Letter to the company in 2023. A follow-up inspection conducted in 2025 documented the persistence of unsanitary conditions and especially the continued rodent and pest infestations. In December 2025, the company issued a voluntary recall of all FDA-regulated products held at its facility.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Binh Minh Tofu (San Jose, CA) that a March 2026 inspection of the company’s manufacturing facility revealed serious violations of the Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Viva Raw LLC that three finished product samples collected during an August 2025 inspection of the company’s contract manufacturer were found to be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis (2 samples) and Listeria monocytogenes (1 sample).
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Raaw Energy LLC that a January 2026 inspection of the company’s raw pet food manufacturing facility found evidence of significant violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. In addition, samples of unopened packages of the pet food were found to be contaminated with one or more of the following pathogens: Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, and Campylobacter jejuni.

Allergy Alert: International Produce Trading Inc. recalls Chungjungwon brand Sunchang Ssamjang (seasoned bean paste) (14 kg; All codes; UPC 8 801052 773261) due to undeclared peanut.
Food Safety Recall: Otto Richter and Sons Limited, O/A Richters Herbs recalls Richters brand Dried Lemongrass (Lot #32078) due to foreign matter contamination (stones).
