Outbreak/Illness Investigations
DENMARK: The Statens Serum Institut has reopened an investigation into an outbreak of 33 cases of Salmonella Enteritidis linked to a shared school meal program at several schools on Zeeland. All but six of the victims are children aged 3-15 years.
USA: FDA is investigating a new outbreak of 11 cases of Listeria monocytogenes illnesses linked to an as yet unidentified food, and has updated the case counts for several other outbreaks under investigation.

Food Safety Recall: Coco G’s Snack Foods, Inc. recalls Coco G’s Courmet Flaming Cheddar Hots, Spicy Cheddar Cheese Popcorn (Multiple package sizes; Lot 007560; Best by June 10, 2026) due to possible Salmonella contamination.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Wellmill, LLC dba Vitamix Laboratories that a December 3, 2025, through December 12, 2025, inspection of the company’s juice processing and dietary supplement manufacturing facility revealed serious violations of the Juice Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Middlefield Original Cheese Cooperative that an August 12, 2025, through September 8, 2025 inspection of the company’s food manufacturing facility revealed serious violations of the Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food Regulations, including the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in 14 out of 80 environmental swabs collected during the inspection.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns South Asian Food Inc. that a March 2, through March 9, 2026 inspection of the company’s facilities revealed serious violations of the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation.
