FRENCH POLYNESIA: Twenty-two cases of salmonellosis were recorded during week 17 (20–26 Apr 2026), with 15 cases directly linked to a collective food poisoning event affecting at least 34 people who consumed raw dishes prepared on 21 Apr 2026 by an establishment in French Polynesia.
SWEDEN: Authorities in Lerum are investigating more than 300 cases of Norovirus since that can be traced traced to two Gobi Sushi restaurants in Floda and Lerum. The restaurants have been closed at the request of authorities since April 21.
USA (Indiana): On 29 Apr 2026, 23 inmates at St. Joseph County Jail in South Bend, Indiana, developed salmonellosis with symptoms including diarrhea, dehydration, fever, and chills. One person has been hospitalized.
