OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: FDA has initiated traceback on a new outbreak of 9 cases of Hepatitis A virus illnesses. The outbreak has not yet been linked to a specific food product.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: FDA has initiated sample collection in its ongoing investigation of an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes illnesses. The suspected source of the outbreak has not yet been revealed.

OUTBREAK UPDATE (UK): UK Public Health advises that reports of Norovirus infections are 66% higher than the average incidence for this time of year. The biggest increase has been seen in the 65+ age group. The number of outbreaks caused by Norovirus have increased in hospitals, schools and care homes, with the majority of outbreaks reported in care home settings.
