Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA: FDA is investigating a new outbreak of three cases of Listeria monocytogenes linked to a not-yet-identified food product. Traceback and sampling have been initiated.

United States

Allergy Alert: U.S. Trading Company recalls Joy Luck Brand Dried Lily Flowers (2.5 oz; UPC 721557511008) due to undeclared sulphites.

Food Safety Recall: AKT Trading Inc. recalls certain prepared vegetable products manufactured by Choshiya Honten Co., Ltd. due to a potential risk of Clostridium botulinum.

Food Safety Alert: New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets warns the public not to consume raw (unpasteurized) milk from Charles B. Curtiss dba Willow Marsh Farm due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The producer is now prohibited from selling raw milk until subsequent sampling indicates that the product is free of harmful bacteria.

Allergy Alert: Vaaniy Food Inc. recalls Vaaniy Foods brand Frozen Porotta – 6 pieces (400g; Best before Aug. 2026; UPC 8 902550 003475) due to undeclared milk.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Carrefour recalls Carrefour brand poule fraîche « poule à bouillir » / fresh whole chicken (Expiration dates 04/03/2025, 05/03/2025 & 06/03/2025) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Delhaize recalls Delhaize brand Poule à bouillir (entier) / Whole chicken (Lot 410227; Use by 06/03/2025 & 07/03/2025) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall (France): Industry recalls Huîtres creuses, plates et moules / Hollow oysters, flat oysters and mussels (harvested from “Rivière d’Etel – La Côte” production zone since 11 February 2025) due to Norovirus contamination.
