United States

Food Safety Recall: Tanimura & Antle Inc. recalls Tanimura & Antle Inc. brand packaged single head romaine lettuce (packed on date of 10/15/2020 or 10/16/2020; UPC 0-27918-20314-9) due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination.

Public Health Alert: FSIS issues a public health alert for TAKE HOME MEALS SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS IN MARINARA SAUCE (15.5 oz; EXP DATE 10/25/20 – 11/9/20) due to foreign matter (metal) contamination. A recall was not requested because it is believed that the products are no longer available for consumers to purchase.

Canada

OUTBREAK ALERT: PHAC is reporting an outbreak of 11 confirmed cases of Salmonella Typhimurium illness in  Alberta (4), Saskatchewan (1), and Quebec (6). The outbreak is linked to contact with pet hedgehogs. The outbreak strain has a similar genetic fingerprint to the hedgehog-linked Salmonella Typhimurium outbreak under investigation in the United States.

Allergy Alert: Bake My Day Gluten-Free Bakeries Ltd. recalls Bake My Day brand Chicken Pot Pie (All codes where egg is not declared on the label) due to undeclared egg.

Europe

Allergy Alert (Belgium): Colruyt recalls Boni Selection Veggie brand Filets marinés / marinated fillets (Best before 09/11/2020) due to undeclared milk, celery and eggs.

Allergy Alert (Belgium): Albert Heijn recalls AH kaas-ui bollen / cheese-onion bulbs (4 x 65g; Expiry 07/11/2020 & 08/11/2020) due to undeclared soy.

Allergy Alert (Ireland): FSAI alerts public to undeclared almonds in Truffle Fairy Chocolate Coffee Beans (100g; All recent batches).

Allergy Alert (Netherlands): Albert Heijn recalls AH kaas-ui bollen / cheese-onion bulbs (4 x 65g; Expiry 07/11/2020 & 08/11/2020) due to undeclared soy.

Allergy Alert (UK): Iceland recalls Twix Barres Glacées (Twix Ice-Cream Bars) (18/pkg; Best before 30 June 2021) due to milk, wheat (gluten), soya, almonds and hazelnuts (nuts) and peanuts not having been declared in English on the label.

Allergy Alert (UK): Lidl GB recalls What’s Cooking? Lighter for You Meatballs with Pasta and Spinach (550g; Best before 05 January 2022) due to undeclared milk.

Food Safety Recall (Austria): Wojnar‘s Wiener Leckerb. GmbH and Hofer KG recall GOOD Choice Wrap Thai Couscous (170g; Best before 04.11.2020) due to Listeria contamination.

Food Safety Recall Update (Belgium): Industry recalls Bettine, Delhaize, Centurion et Carrefour brands of geitenkaas gerijpt / ripe goat cheese (200g; Best before 28/10/2020 – 30/12/2020) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (France): TALLEC recalls Le Porc de nos villages brand Duo de filet et poitrine rôtis / Roasted fillet and breast duo (Lots lot 02028007 & 02028106; Best before 03/11/2020 & 04/11/2020) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (France): ERMarché recalls JEAN ROZE brand Rôti filet de porc Facon Orloff / Orloff-style roast pork fillet (880g; Lot E03010409; Best before 07/11/2020) due to Salmonella contamination.
