United States

Allergy Alert: PFP Enterprises LLC, also doing business as Texas Meat Packers, recalls approximately 7,570 pounds of ground beef products due to undeclared soy. Please refer to the recall notice for additional details of the affected products, which wereshipped to a distributor and institutional locations in Texas.

Allergy Alert: Gel Spice Company, Inc. recalls certain Spice Time and Spice Supreme Beef Flavored Bouillon Cube products due to undeclared soy and/or wheat. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed to retail locations and distribution centers in Alabama; California; Connecticut; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Indiana; Iowa; Maryland; Michigan; Minnesota; Montana; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; South Carolina; South Dakota; Texas; Virginia; and Washington.

Allergy Alert: T&H Food Trading Inc. recalls Daliyuan Soft French Bread, milk and orange flavors (360g; Date code 2017 9 25) due to undeclared egg. The recalled products were sold in the NY Metro area and Connecticut.

Allergy Alert: Louie’s Finer Meats (Cumberland, WI) recalls teriyaki-flavored beef jerky (produced on or before Dec. 18) due to undeclared wheat.

Food Safety Alert: The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) has issued a public health alert for an undetermined amount of various exotic meat and seafood jerky products produced by Katie’s Snack Foods LLC, located at 4094 Anson Drive, Hilliard, OH 43026. Consumers should be aware that the products were produced outside ODA protocols for such products and supporting documentation for safe production could not be established. Please refer to the alert for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: Arruda’s Dairy Farms (Tiverton, RI) recalls Eggnog (pint, quart, and half-gallon, clear plastic containers; Sell by 2/3/18 and 2/10/18) due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recalled products were distributed to home delivery customers and throughout eastern Rhode Island and the Fall River area of Massachusetts through retail stores.

Food Safety Recall: Meijer recalls select Meijer brand packaged products due to sliced apples within the products being potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were sold in Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Food Safety Recall: Springfield Smoked Fish expands its earlier recall to include additional smoked fish and cream cheese products due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed and sold at retail stores and wholesale establishments in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania from May 2017 through December 2017, and sold nationwide through online sales.

Food Safety Recall: Jack Brown Produce, Inc. recalls various Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp and Golden Delicious apples due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed through retail stores in Michigan, Georgia, Missouri, Indiana and Ohio.

Canada

Outbreak Alert (Update): As of December 21st, there are 40 cases of E. coli O157 illness under investigation in five eastern provinces: Ontario (8), Quebec (13), New Brunswick (5), Nova Scotia (1), and Newfoundland and Labrador (13). Individuals became sick in November and early December 2017. Sixteen individuals have been hospitalized. One individual has died. Individuals who became ill are between the ages of 4 and 85 years of age. The majority of cases (73%) are female. Because of the ongoing risk in eastern Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada is advising individuals in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador to consider consuming other types of lettuce, instead of romaine lettuce, until more is known about the outbreak and the cause of contamination.

Allergy Alert (Update): Bayan Grocers Inc. recalls Polly Ann brand frozen dessert bars due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed to retailers in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec, and may have been distributed nationally.

Allergy Alert: Loblaw Companies Limited recalls certain President’s Choice brand frozen breaded shrimp products due to undeclared egg. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed at the retail level nationwide.

Allergy Alert: Seoul Trading Corporation recalls Ottogi brand Beef Bone and Vegetable Soup (22g; All batch codes; UPC 6 45175 62040 2) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was distributed at the retail level in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

Europe

Allergy Alert (Denmark): A. Espersen recalls Wild Salmon in puff pastry (700g; Best before 04-2019) due to undeclared fish, wheat flour, milk, mustard seed and egg. The recalled product was sold in Lidl stores nationwide.

Allergy Alert (Denmark): QB Royal Fruit recalls PAMIR green raisins (400g; Best before 25-12-2018) due to undeclared sulfite.

Allergy Alert (UK): Fabulous Foods (UK) recalls Organic Buckwheat Noodles with Amaranth, wheat & gluten free (250g; Batch code 18816 BRA; Best by August 2018) due to possible presence of gluten.

Allergy Alert (UK): Dr Oetker recalls Regal-Ice Ready Rolled Icing White (450g; Batch code 17286; Best by 12 October 2018) due to undeclared marzipan (almonds).

Food Safety Recall (France): Lactalis extends its earlier recall of infant formula products to include additional products manufactured or processed at its Craon (53) location and distributed under the PICOT, MILUMEL and TARANIS brands. Food Safety Recall (Sweden and Netherlands): Eldsberga Chark AB recalls Suha Bosan Point Dried Smoked Beef (Article #4071) due to a suspicion of botulinum toxin. The recalled product was sold in Gothenburg and also exported to the Netherlands.

Food Safety Recall (UK): Errington Cheese Ltd recalls Dunsyre Blue cheese (Batch J9; All ‘use by’ dates; All package sizes) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (UK): Greencore recalls various brands of Chicken and Bacon Caesar Wraps because the products may contain metal fragments. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Australia and New Zealand

Allergy Alert: Coles recalls Coles Thai Green Curry Soup (300g; Use By 25.12.17 and  28.12.17) due to undeclared fish and soy. The recalled product was sold in Coles Supermarkets and Coles Online in QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, & TAS.

Food Safety Recall (Recall): De Bortoli Wines recalls De Bortoli Woodfired Heathcote Sparkling Shiraz (750ml bottle; Batch codes L7279b1 and L7327b1) because extended exposure to heat may cause the bottle to shatter. The recalled product was sold at independent liquor stores and hotels in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC and WA.
