Chelsea Food Services dba Journey Cuisine recalls approximately 28,064 pounds of pork and chicken burritos and wrap products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. recalls approximately 10,839 pounds of raw poultry products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials (metal). Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Haig’s Delicacies recalls Taboule Salad (10-oz plastic tub, 3-unit multi pack & 6-lb bulk foodservice bag; Lot #17298; Expiry date 11/16/17) due to potential contamination with E. coli O157:H7. The recalled product was distributed in California through retail stores.

Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods LLC recalls Nature’s Touch Frozen Organic Fine Whole Green Beans (10 oz.; Best before 2017 JUN 04 to 2019 JUN 21; UPC 8 73668 00141) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product was distributed through three retailers in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia.

Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Foods recalls Sukhi’s CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA with NAAN BREAD & BASMATI RICE (11-oz. frozen microwaveable sealed containers; Use by 11/07/2018; Lot #83790) due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled items were shipped to a distributor in California.

Trader Joe’s recalls Trader Joe’s Broccoli Slaw and Kale Salad with White Chicken Meat (Use by 10/10 through 10/13; SKU #50286) due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product was sold in Trader Joe’s retail stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.

Yorgo Foods Inc. recalls select varieties of Hommus and Baba Ghannouj, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed at retail stores in NY and NJ.

Agropur Cooperative recalls Agropur Import Collection Firm Ripened Comté Cheese (200g; All Best Before dates up to and including 18 FE 09; UPC 0 67400 00397 0; Product of France) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to retailers nationwide.
International House of Caviar Ltd. recalls AKI brand Chum Salmon Caviar (50g; Lot #L N16319.14; Best before 2017/11/17; UPC 6 28451 22603 1) because the product may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, and may have been distributed nationally.
Maple Leaf Foods recalls Maple Leaf brand Chicken Breast Strips (840g; Best Before 2018 SE 29; UPC 0 63100 03089 6) because the product may contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria. The recalled product was distributed to retailers nationally.

True North Salmon Co. Ltd. recalls True North Seafood Company brand Toppers Smoked Salmon Flakes seasoned with lemon and dill (113g; All Best Before dates up to and including November 17, 2017; Product code 7838; UPC 0 60719 72255 6) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to consumers in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario, and may have been distributed nationally.
Vantage Foods (ON) Inc. recalls Ground Lean Veal (Variable size; Best Before 2017NO04; UPC starts with 0 226811; Prepared for Food Basics) due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Ontario.

Belgium: Aldi recalls Excellence brand Boulette de sanglier – sauce au poivre/Pork dumplings in pepper sauce, frozen, ready-to-eat (Lot #150917; Best before end 09/2018) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Belgium: Lidl recalls cherry tomatoes (500g plastic container; Lot L60492; Sold November 6-10, 2017) because the product may contain foreign matter.

Belgium: Unilever Belgium recalls Zwan brand Sausages in Tomato Sauce (Expiry dates 20/01/2020, 07/03/2020 & 08/03/2020) due to underprocessing.

Belgium: Vivera recalls Rondelle aux Légumes brand Vegetable Burger Patty (Lot #8718300057007 – 000000000101613322; Best Before 20-11-2017) due to possible contamination with Listeria bacteria.

Denmark: Dansk Supermarked Group recalls Noel Mediterranean Snacks, Fuet Coins (100g; Best before 4/11-2017; Product of Spain) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

United States

Outbreak Alert: CDC and Texas Health Officials warn the public that anyone who consumed raw milk or raw milk products from K-Bar Dairy (Paradise, Texas) between June 1 and Aug. 7, 2017, should get antibiotic treatment to avoid the risk of lifelong, chronic infections as a result of infection with Brucella RB51. So far, CDC and Texas health officials have received reports about people who drank K-Bar milk or have symptoms consistent with brucellosis caused by RB51 in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Ohio, North Dakota, Tennessee and Texas.

Outbreak Alert: The Rhode Island Department of Health is investigating two cases of Listeria infection linked to consumption of queso fresco made with unpasteurized milk.

Outbreak Alert: CDC reports a 7-state outbreak of Campylobacter illnesses linked to puppies purchased from Petland, a national pet store chain. Thirty-nine confirmed cases have been reported; 9 of the victims required hospitalization.

Allergy Alert: America New York RI Wang Food Group recalls approximately 53,973 pounds of Heat Treated but Not Fully Cooked-Not Shelf Stable pork sausage products due to undeclared milk. Allergy Alert: Cherry Valley Marketplace recalls CHERRY VALLEY VANILLA CUPCAKES and CHERRY VALLEY CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES (12 oz pkgs; Expiry 09/20/2017 and 09/30/17) due to undeclared milk. The recalled products were distributed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Food Safety Recall: German Sausage Haus, LLC recalls approximately 1,252 pounds of Heat Treated, Not Fully Cooked-Not Shelf Stable (HTNFCNSS) meat products due to a possible processing deviation that may have led to staphylococcal enterotoxin contamination. Allergy Alert: Northside Noodle Company recalls Ragazzo’s ITALIAN STYLE MEATBALL MIX (1-lb polystyrene foam packages; Lot codes 2008, 2024 and 2044; Produced June 6, 2017, June 27, 2017 and Aug. 2, 2017) due to undeclared soy. The recalled product was shipped to Super One Foods in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Allergy Alert: Wegmans recalls Assorted Muffins 4 Pack (UPC 77890-22744) due to undeclared walnuts.

Food Safety Recall: Garden of Life, LLC recalls Baby Organic Liquid (Expiration date 12/2018; Lot Nos. 5487617, 5487717, 5487817 and 5500817; UPC 58010 12073) because the product, as labeled, includes directions for use that may be misinterpreted. The company is concerned that if not administered precisely following the labeled instructions, the product may present difficulties in swallowing and potentially pose a choking hazard due to the thickness of the liquid.

Food Safety Recall: Country Fresh Orlando, LLC recalls various products (Best if Used by dates between August 12, 2017 through August 20, 2017) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
