United States

Allergy Alert: Lipari Foods, LLC recalls Weis, All Natural and unbranded specific dark chocolate products packaged by sister company JLM due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed to retail stores throughout Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Allergy Alert: Circle S Farm recalls Herb Bacon Cheese Ball Mix (2.2 oz/62g) due to undeclared soy. The recalled product was available for sale prior to November 15, 2017 at retail locations throughout Ohio as well as phone in orders to Circle S Farm.

Food Safety Alert: The New Jersey Department of Health has issued a ‘Cease-and-Desist’ order to Udder Milk, a home-delivery company that has illegally sold unpasteurized milk in New Jersey. A North Jersey woman tested positive for Brucella RB51 infection after consuming the milk.

Food Safety Recall: Casa Sanchez Foods recalls Real Guacamole (9-oz containers; Lot code 279; Expiration date 11/10/17; UPC 0 78732 00412 2) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to retail stores throughout the California Bay Area and surrounding counties.

Food Safety Recall: Giant Food, LLC recalls Giant Brand Frozen Whole Kernel Sweet Corn (16 oz.; Best by Oct-2019; UPC 68826700676) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: GIANT Food Stores, LLC and MARTIN’S Food Markets recall GIANT/MARTIN’S Brand Frozen Whole Kernel Sweet Corn (16 oz.; Best by Oct-2019; UPC 68826700676) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Texas Natural Meats recalls Frozen Beef Tongue (1.72-lb. cryovac packages; produced on various dates between April 1, 2016 and Nov. 11, 2017) due to possible contamination with specified risk material. The recalled product was  to product owners and further distributed in Texas.

Food Safety Recall: The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC recalls Stop & Shop Brand Frozen Whole Kernel Sweet Corn (16 oz.; Best by Oct-2019; UPC 68826700676) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Trader Joe’s recalls Trader Joe’s Cilantro & Chive Yogurt Dip (SKU #78720) and Trader Joe’s Tahini Sauce (SKU# 78723), due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Both products were sold in Trader Joe’s stores nationwide.

Allergy Alert: Les Empaqueteurs unis de fruits de mer ltée recalls CUISSE POULET SEMI-DES (Variable weights; All lots sold up to November 15, 2017) due to undeclared sesame seeds, mustard seeds, wheat, soy, eggs, peanuts and other nuts.

Food Safety Recall: Fou du Bio (Québec, QC) recalls various products processed in glass jars, as the items were not processed in a manner that would ensure their safety for human consumption. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Allergy Alert (Ireland): Lidl Ireland recalls Connell Bakery Wholesome Seed & Grain Sliced Pan (800g; All batch codes; All best before dates) due to undeclared soy.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): California Direct GmbH recalls Trader Joe’s Soft Fruits – Figs (250g; Expiry 31.08.2018; Lot #L21773) due to excessive levels of ochratoxin A, a mold toxin that can cause kidney disease. The recalled product was available in Aldi Nord stores.

Haig’s Delicacies recalls Taboule Salad (10-oz plastic tub, 3-unit multi pack & 6-lb bulk foodservice bag; Lot #17298; Expiry date 11/16/17) due to potential contamination with E. coli O157:H7. The recalled product was distributed in California through retail stores.

Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods LLC recalls Nature’s Touch Frozen Organic Fine Whole Green Beans (10 oz.; Best before 2017 JUN 04 to 2019 JUN 21; UPC 8 73668 00141) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product was distributed through three retailers in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia.

Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Foods recalls Sukhi’s CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA with NAAN BREAD & BASMATI RICE (11-oz. frozen microwaveable sealed containers; Use by 11/07/2018; Lot #83790) due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled items were shipped to a distributor in California.

Trader Joe’s recalls Trader Joe’s Broccoli Slaw and Kale Salad with White Chicken Meat (Use by 10/10 through 10/13; SKU #50286) due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product was sold in Trader Joe’s retail stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.

Yorgo Foods Inc. recalls select varieties of Hommus and Baba Ghannouj, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed at retail stores in NY and NJ.

Agropur Cooperative recalls Agropur Import Collection Firm Ripened Comté Cheese (200g; All Best Before dates up to and including 18 FE 09; UPC 0 67400 00397 0; Product of France) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to retailers nationwide.
International House of Caviar Ltd. recalls AKI brand Chum Salmon Caviar (50g; Lot #L N16319.14; Best before 2017/11/17; UPC 6 28451 22603 1) because the product may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, and may have been distributed nationally.
Maple Leaf Foods recalls Maple Leaf brand Chicken Breast Strips (840g; Best Before 2018 SE 29; UPC 0 63100 03089 6) because the product may contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria. The recalled product was distributed to retailers nationally.

True North Salmon Co. Ltd. recalls True North Seafood Company brand Toppers Smoked Salmon Flakes seasoned with lemon and dill (113g; All Best Before dates up to and including November 17, 2017; Product code 7838; UPC 0 60719 72255 6) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to consumers in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario, and may have been distributed nationally.
Vantage Foods (ON) Inc. recalls Ground Lean Veal (Variable size; Best Before 2017NO04; UPC starts with 0 226811; Prepared for Food Basics) due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Ontario.

Public Health Alert: FSIS issues a public health alert due to concerns that certain poultry products produced by Mary’s Harvest Fresh Foods, Inc. (Portland, OR) establishment, may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. A recall was not requested, as all of the products are past their ‘Best by’ dates, and it is believed that none of the affected products remain in commerce. Food Safety Recall: H-E-B recalls certain H-E-B single-serving soups made with vegetable products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were sold in H-E-B stores.

Food Safety Recall: Triple B Corporation (Seattle, WA) recalls several salad kits and stir fry mixes due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Food Safety Recall: Cooperstown Cheese Company recalls Toma Celena Cheese (Batch #51017 & 52417), Roasted Garlic Cheddar Cheese (Batch #52417 & 60717) and Roasted Garlic Peppercorn Cheese (Batch #52417), due to a presumptive positive test result for Listeria.

Food Safety Recall (Update): Relish Foods, Inc. (Culver City, CA) expands its earlier recall of frozen tuna loins to include: 3 to 5 lb. tuna loins, 6 oz. tuna steaks, and 4 oz. tuna steaks, due to Salmonella contamination. Food Safety Recall: Paragon Wholesale Foods Corp. (Warrendale, PA) recalls Broccoli Florets (1.7 oz; Best by date of 10/16/17 or 10/23/2017) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to multiple schools in the Greater Pittsburgh and Butler, PA areas between 10/9/2017 and 10/16/2017.
