OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: FDA is investigating a new food-related outbreak of 264 confirmed Salmonella Typhimurium infections. No specific food source has yet been identified.

Food Safety Recall: Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc. recalls approximately 93,697 pounds of raw ground beef products due to possible foreign matter contamination (reflective mirror-like material). Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: The Oklahoma State Department of Health is investigating the source of an outbreak of an increased number of cases of Campylobacter and Shiga-toxin producing E. coli.

Allergy Alert: Big Sky Bread Company recalls Big Sky Chocolate Chunk Granola and Big Sky Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter Chip Granola (14 oz. pkgs; distributed through 11/07/2022) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert: BOSTON BAKING, Inc. recalls Boston Baking Mini Cinnamon Crumb Cakes (3 oz, individually wrapped; Sell by dates 10/22/22-11/15/22; UPC (01)00238543000007(3904)0019900) due to undeclared pecans. OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: CDC reports an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to deli meat and cheese sold at deli counters. The federal agency has received confirmed reports of 16 illnesses from 6 states. One person has died and 13 required hospitalization. The specific source of the infections has not yet been determined.

Food Safety Recall: Menu19 LLC recalls Mantu menu19 frozen beef dumpling products (1.5-lb. cartons; Produced in produced in November 2020 through October 23, 2022; UPC 86000524010) because they were produced without benefit of federal inspection.

Canada

PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT: The Québec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food urges the public to discard any meat products purchased at la ferme Deaubel, located at126, route Dostie, Saint-Romain, QC, because the products were prepared and packed under conditions that render them potentially unsafe to consume
