Allergy Alert: Earthbound Farm LLC recalls Earthbound Farm Organic Chopped Asian Style Salad Kit (Expiration date October 24, 2017; UPC 32601 95134) due to undeclared egg and milk. The recalled product was distributed through retail stores to 29 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Allergy Alert: First Source recalls Honey Roast Nut Crunch (sold by the pound in the bulk foods department from October 9, 2017 to October 19, 2017) due to undeclared almonds. The recalled product was distributed to 30 Wegmans Food Markets in the states of MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, and VA.

Allergy Alert: Les Chateaux De France, Inc. recalls MARINATED SCALLOPS WRAPPED IN BACON SECURED WITH A TOOTHPICK (3.5-lb. plastic-lined, boxed packages containing 100 pieces; produced on various dates from April 19, 2016 through October 13, 2017) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was shipped to institutional locations in Delaware, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Allergy Alert: Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. recalls American Accent Shredded Imitation Mozzarella Cheese (32 oz; Best By JUN 8 2018; UPC 0 365148012 6) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was sold in Bashas’, AJ’s Fine Foods, Food City and Bashas’ Dine Markets retail stores in Arizona and New Mexico.

Allergy Alert: Weis Markets recalls store made bacon, lettuce and tomato (BLT) sandwiches due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was sold in Weis Markets’ delis in the company’s 204 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and West Virginia.

Allergy Alert: Myanmar Wholesale recalls all packages of Thanlwin brand Fried Bean Snack (8 oz. (227g) plastic bag; UPC 7 84682-00095 3) due to undeclared peanuts. The recalled product was distributed nationwide through ethnic retail grocery stores.

Food Safety Recall: Mann Packing recalls various minimally processed vegetable products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were supplied to retailers and foodservice operators.

Food Safety Recall: Randalls, Tom Thumb and Albertsons stores in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas recall various Ready. Chef. Go! brand seafood meal bags in conjunction with the Mann Packing recall of minimally processed vegetable products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Food Safety Recall: Albertsons, Safeway, Vons and Pak N’ Save stores in eight states recall certain fresh vegetable trays and cups in conjunction with the Mann Packing recall of minimally processed vegetable products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Food Safety Recall: Whole Foods Market recalls Veggie Power Blend, Sesame Chicken Power Salad, and Mexican Chicken Power Salad (sold by the pound on salad bars between September 28, 2017 and October 20, 2017 in ten Northern California stores) in conjunction with the Mann Packing recall of minimally processed vegetable products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Food Safety Recall: Meijer recalls various packaged Meijer brand produce items in conjunction with the Mann Packing recall of minimally processed vegetable products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were sold in Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin from September 27, 2017 through October 20, 2017.

Food Safety Recall: Fresh Foods Manufacturing Co. recalls approximately 701 pounds of heat-treated, not fully cooked, not shelf stable chicken products in conjunction with the Mann Packing recall of minimally processed vegetable products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Food Safety Recall: BrightFarms recalls packaged produce sold in Roundy’s Supermarkets due to E. coli contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were sold at Mariano’s Markets in Illinois and Metro Market and Pick ‘n Save stores in Wisconsin.

Food Safety Recall: Relish Foods, Inc. recalls Frozen Newport Brand Tuna Loins (production codes MTNT 0947C, MTNT 0957B, MTNT 0967A, and MTNT 0977D) due to Salmonella contamination. The recalled product was distributed in Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Nevada, Idaho, and Arizona states between 8/15/2017 and 9/25/2017, through food service operations, retail stores, and restaurants. Food Safety Recall: Cooperstown Cheese Company LLC recalls “TOMA CELENA” Raw Milk Alpine Table Cheese (Plant number 36-8524; Code of 51017) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was sold at locations in Delhi; Hudson; Ithaca; Menands; Oneonta; Ontario; Peekskill; Phoenicia; Roxbury; and Tannersville.

Food Safety Recall: Newswanger Meats (Shiloh, OH) recalls approximately 450,000 pounds of fresh and frozen beef, pork, lamb, chicken, venison, rabbit, various dried meat snacks, and deli products (Est. #151; produced November 7, 2016-October 4, 2017) that were possibly produced under insanitary conditions. Canada

Allergy Alert: Hen Long Oriental Gifts and Foods Co. Ltd. recalls Captain’s Choice brand Frozen Shrimp Shaomai (500g; all codes; UPC 8 934791 920259) due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was distributed to consumers in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

Allergy Alert: Euromarché Latina recalls Basil Pesto (variable weight; all lots sold up to October 17, 2017) due to undeclared sesame seeds, mustard seeds, wheat, gluten, soy, egg, peanuts, seafood, shellfish and fish.

Outbreak Alert (Update): Public Health Agency of Canada reports 18 confirmed cases of Salmonella Enteritidis infections linked to frozen raw breaded chicken products. Cases have been reported in six provinces: British Columbia (1), Alberta (1), Ontario (10), Quebec (2), New Brunswick (2), and Nova Scotia (2). Individuals became sick between June and September of this year. The average age of cases is 41 years, with ages ranging between 0 to 85 years. The majority of cases (67%) are female.

Food Safety Recall: Agropur Cooperative recalls Agropur Import Collection Firm Ripened Comté Cheese (200g; Best Before 17 DE 15; UPC 0 67400 00397 0) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was distributed to retailers nationwide.

Food Safety Recall: International House of Caviar recalls IHOC brand Rainbow Trout Caviar (100g; Lot L 7040.3 IC; Best Before 2018/08/30; UPC 6 28451 22602 4) because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The recalled product was distributed to consumers in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan.

Allergy Alert (Germany): Feine Küche Jürgen Langbein GmbH recalls Minestrone der Marke Feine Küche / Fine Kitchen brand Minestrone (Expiry date 16.02.2020) due to undeclared wheat, lactose, soya, mustard and egg.

Allergy Alert (UK): Les Brioche recalls Les Brioche Pain au lait Brioche Rolls 8 Pack (280g; Best before 4 November 2017; Batch code L09 14:43 UK1 279) due to undeclared soya.

Allergy Alert: Simply Fresh Foods, Inc. recalls San Francisco Seafood Salad Made with Greek Yogurt (4 x 4-oz pkg; Use by 10/15/17 B10; UPC 47502 19701) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert: Northside Noodle Company recalls Ragazzo’s ITALIAN STYLE MEATBALL MIX (1-lb polystyrene foam packages; Lot codes 2008, 2024 and 2044; Produced June 6, 2017, June 27, 2017 and Aug. 2, 2017) due to undeclared soy. The recalled product was shipped to Super One Foods in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Allergy Alert: Wegmans recalls Assorted Muffins 4 Pack (UPC 77890-22744) due to undeclared walnuts.

Food Safety Recall: Garden of Life, LLC recalls Baby Organic Liquid (Expiration date 12/2018; Lot Nos. 5487617, 5487717, 5487817 and 5500817; UPC 58010 12073) because the product, as labeled, includes directions for use that may be misinterpreted. The company is concerned that if not administered precisely following the labeled instructions, the product may present difficulties in swallowing and potentially pose a choking hazard due to the thickness of the liquid.

Food Safety Recall: Country Fresh Orlando, LLC recalls various products (Best if Used by dates between August 12, 2017 through August 20, 2017) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Food Safety Recall (Update): The British Columbia Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) and the Alberta Health Services (AHS) advise consumers that an ongoing investigation into hepatitis A virus in pineapple chunks has identified additional products that may be affected. Allergy Alert (New Zealand): Hellers Ltd recalls Hellers brand Breakfast Angus Beef sausages (10-pack; Use by 22/09/17) due to undeclared gluten. The recalled product was sold at Pak’nSave, New World and Four Square supermarkets throughout the South Island.

Food Safety Recall (Australia): Snack Brands Australia recalls Kettle Sea Salt Kettle Fried Potato Chips (175g and 300g packets; Best before 11NOV17) and Kettle Rosemary and Sea Salt Kettle Fried Potato Chips (175g packets; Best before 11NOV17) due to the presence of white rubber pieces that may cause injury if consumed. The recalled products were sold at Coles (NSW) and Woolworths (NSW and Victoria).

Food Safety Recall (New Zealand): Wanaka Milk Company Ltd recalls Udderly Fresh Raw Milk brand raw (unpasteurised) drinking milk (various sizes; Batch 294, 295, 296, 297, 298, 299, 300, 301, 302, 303; Use by 18 August 2017 – 27 August 2017) due to Campylobacter contamination.

Allergy Alert: Sunneen Health Foods recalls Whole Foods Market PB&J parfaits (8-oz. containers; All Best by dates before 7/13/2017; UPC 636910500448) due to undeclared soy, almonds and coconut. The recalled products were sold at five Whole Foods Market stores in New York and New Jersey.

Allergy Alert: Coborn’s, Inc. recalls Gluten Free Fudge Brownies (Expiration July 10, 2017; UPC 7-33147-20522-8), as some of the packages may contain Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Bars and, consequently, contain undeclared milk. The recalled products were distributed and sold at Coborn’s and Cash Wise stores in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, as well as Marketplace Foods stores in Wisconsin, and Coborn’s Delivers in the Twin Cities Metro area.

Allergy Alert: Biohealth Nutrition recalls Precision Blend Cookies & Cream (2-lb and 4-lb white plastic canisters; all lot codes) due to undeclared wheat.

Food Safety Recall: M&L Farms, LLC recalls approximately 383 beef, goat, and lamb carcasses with offal that were produced with a non- potable water supply that failed to meet the Ohio Department of Health’s requirements in the Ohio Administrative Code for a private water system. Twelve cases of Salmonella Enteritidis infection have been associated with consumption of the recalled product.
