Allergy Alert: Schnucks Bakery recalls Schnucks Bakery Deluxe Petite Cake Chocolate Iced Yellow German Chocolate Cake (Sell by 8/12/17 – 8/14/17; UPC 41318 31168) due to undeclared pecans.

Allergy Alert: Taylor Farms Retail, Inc. (Salinas, CA) recalls Taylor Farms Creamy Homestyle Coleslaw Kits (Best If Used By 08-16-17; Lot code TFRS212A07C) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert: Price Chopper recalls Egg Salad (Sold from Deli; Scale code beginning 267074) due to undeclared wheat.

Allergy Alert: Wegmans recalls multiple varieties of Wegmans Crostatas due to undeclared soy. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: Michele’s Granola recalls Michele’s Toasted Muesli (16 oz; Best by 7/31/17, 8/7/17, 8/14/17,8/21/17, 8/28/17, 9/5/17, 9/12/17; UPC 79357332101) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product was sold at Wegmans.

Food Safety Recall: The Comfy Cow recalls Banana Puddin Y’all, Chocolate Squared2, Cookies and Cream, Cow Trax, Double Fold Vanilla, Georgia Butter Pecan, Intense Dark Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Strawberry Fields Forever Ice Creams, due to possible E. coli contamination and/or high coliform counts. Some of the recalled products were sold in Kroger stores located in Greater Louisville area (including Indiana) and Lexington, Kentucky.

Food Safety Recall: Good Food Concepts, LLC recalls approximately 1,290 pounds of raw intact and non-intact beef due to possible E. coli O26 contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a detailed list of affected products, which were supplied to shipped to retail locations, wholesale locations, and restaurants in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Food Safety Recall: Freshtex Produce LLC recalls Valery brand Maradol papayas (grown and packed by Carica de Campeche; shipped to Illinois July 10 to July 13, 2017) due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recalled Valery papayas were grown and packed by the same grower implicated in an on-going outbreak of Salmonella Kiambu and Salmonella Thompson infections.

Canada

Food Safety Recall: Mantab Groupe Alimentaire recalls Below Zero brand berry products due to possible Norovirus contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a detailed list of affected products, which were supplied to hotels, restaurants and institutional customers in Quebec and Ontario.

Allergy Alert: Hy-Vee, Inc. recalls various Hy-Vee brand pizzas due to undeclared soy. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed at the Twin Cities Hy-Vee stores in New Hope, Oakdale, Lakeville, Brooklyn Park, Eagan and Savage, near the stores’ Italian departments and prepared-meal areas.

Allergy Alert: D & D Foods, Inc. recalls approximately 17,847 pounds of Hy-Vee brand pepperoni pizza products due to undeclared soy. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Allergy Alert: Stefano’s Foods, Inc. recalls SCREAMIN’ SICILIAN PIZZA CO. STROMBOLI SUPREMUS MAXIMUS PEPPERONI & ITALIAN SAUSAGE (18.5-oz. boxes containing two pieces; Enjoy by 2/19/2018; Lot code 70010117517) due to undeclared eggs.

Food Safety Recall/Outbreak Alert: Grande Produce (San Juan, TX) recalls Caribeña brand Maradol Papayas (shipped between July 10 and July 19, 2017; product of Mexico) due to Salmonella contamination. The recalled papayas have been implicated in an ongoing outbreak of Salmonella Kiambu illnesses. The outbreak has claimed one life so far, and sickened 47 people in 12 states. The recalled products were sold in a number of states, including California. The following retailers have alerted their customers to the recall alert: Aldi, Lucky Supermarkets, Save Mart Supermarkets and Walmart.

Canada

Allergy Alert: Loblaw Companies Limited recalls Rocky Mountain Pies brand Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Crème Pie (737g; Product code 7 153; UPC 8 15360 01241 5) due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was supplied to retail stores nationwide.

Allergy Alert: Alimentation Jean-Richard Caron inc. (Metro) recalls two products due to undeclared sesame seeds and soy. Please refer to the recall notice for product details.

Food Safety Alert (Update): Consumers are urged to avoid purchasing or eating certain products made using frozen raw raspberries, as the products may be contaminated with Norovirus. Please refer to the notice for additional details.
