Allergy Alert: Stonyfield recalls O’Soy Strawberry soy yogurt (5.3-oz plastic cup; Code date November 4, 2017; UPC 0-52159 00603-7) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was distributed initially to CA, CT, FL, IA, IL, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC,NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, VA, and WI, and is sold at natural food stores and grocery retailers nationwide.

Allergy Alert: GB Green Gastronome, LLC (Jamaica, NY) recalls approximately 8,000 pounds of chicken and pork products due to undeclared coconut and coconut cream. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to wholesale and retail locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Allergy Alert: Chun Yuen Trading Co. (South El Monte, CA) recalls Instant 4-in-1 Reishi Coffee (12.7 ounce golden aluminum packaging pouch; all packages that do not mention milk in the list of ingredients) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert: Belmont Sausage Co (Elk Grove Village, IL) recalls smoked turkey products due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to an institutional location in Michigan that further distributed nationwide.

Allergy Alert: Hong Lee Trading Inc. (NY) recalls VINA CAFÉ WAKE-UP INSTANT COFFEE MIX (0.6 ounce plastic package; EXP: 17.MAR.2019 1T13) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was distributed throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Allergy Alert: Dean Dairy recalls Tampico® Tropical Punch (gallon size; Best by 12-27-17; Plant code 1738; UPC 095188031281) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was sold in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

Allergy Alert: TAI FOONG USA (Seattle, WA) recalls Royal Asia Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup (3.94lb (1.79kg) 63oz; 6 bowl pack; sold beginning January 2017), due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was available exclusively at Costco in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Utah and Alaska.

Allergy Alert: Select Whole Foods Market stores in Arizona, California and Nevada recall Apple Cinnamon Hand Pies (Best by October 15, 2017 and earlier) due to undeclared egg. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of stores affected by this recall.

Allergy Alert: Aunt Beth’s Cookies (Mishawaka, IN) recalls Amish Sugar, Chocolate Chip N Chunk, Frosted Brownie, Frosted Sugar, M&M Candy, Mudslide Triple Chocolate, Oatmeal Raisin, Red Velvet, and Snickerdoodle cookies (All sizes; sold between January 1, 2017 and September 28, 2017) due to undeclared peanuts and/or tree nuts. The recalled cookies were distributed through one wholesaler in Indiana and one wholesaler in Illinois.

Allergy Alert: A.S.K. Foods, Inc. (Palmyra, PA) recalls Taste of Inspirations Classic Red Skin Potato Salad (16 oz.; Sell by 10-20-17; UPC 25439 98422) due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was distributed and sold at Hannaford Supermarkets in ME, NY, MA, NH and VT.

Allergy Alert: Sid Wainer & Son® (New Bedford, MA) recalls Jansal Valley® brand Dried Chili De Arbol Peppers (1-oz clear plastic clamshell container; Best by 9/11/2018, 9/22/2018 and 9/26/2018) due to undeclared peanuts. The recalled product was distributed nationwide in retail stores and grocery chains.

Allergy Alert: H-E-B Meat Plant (San Antonio, TX) recalls MI TIENDA PARA TACOS DE POLLO CASERO SEASONED DICED SKINLESS CHICKEN THIGHS (1.75 lb pkg; Freeze by or sell by Oct. 12, 2017) due to undeclared wheat. The recalled product was shipped to retail locations in Texas.

Allergy Alert: Sandridge RMH Acquisition, LLC (Morton, IL) recalls Publix homestyle beef pot roast WITH SEASONED GRAVY (15 oz. plastic trays; Lot code 72487338; use or freeze by December 4, 2017) due to undeclared wheat and soybean oil. The recalled product was shipped to retail locations in Florida and Georgia.

Allergy Alert: Great American Deli (Ooltewah, TN) recalls 816 Premium Chicken Salad Wheatberry Sandwich (6.4 oz pkg; Lot #17 198) due to undeclared egg and soy. The recalled product was distributed in Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia to convenience stores and vending machines.

Allergy Alert: Whole Foods Market recalls 365 Everyday Value Organic Raisin Bran (15 oz. boxes; best-by June 4, 2018; UPC 9948243903) due to undeclared peanuts. The recalled product was sold in Whole Foods Market stores in the U.S. and online at Amazon.com.

Allergy Alert: General Mills recalls Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Raisin Granola cereal (Best if used by/plant code: 20MAR2018JK and 21MAR2018JK) due to undeclared almonds.

Allergy Alert: Kenny’s Great Pies, Inc. (Smyrna, GA) recalls Kenny’s Buckeye Pie (22 oz; UPC 7 11276 50277 7) due to undeclared wheat. The recalled product was distributed in retail stores in the Ohio area.

Allergy Alert: La Terra Fina recalls Spinach Artichoke & Parmesan Dip & Spread (10 oz.; BEST BY NOV-01-2017) due to undeclared egg. The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Food Safety Recall: Greencore, USA, LLC recalls egg salad sandwiches, ham salad sandwiches, and seafood stuffing products because Listeria monocytogenes was found during environmental sampling and finished product testing carried out by FDA. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were distributed to American Food and Vending, Hannaford Brothers, Target, and Turkey Hill in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.

Food Safety Recall: Prestage Foods, Inc. (St. Pauls, N.C.) recalls approximately 38,475 pounds of ground turkey that may contain extraneous material. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to retail distribution centers in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

Food Safety Recall: Clair D. Thompson & Sons, Inc. (Jersey Shore, PA) recalls Thompson’s GROUND BEEF (5-lb and 10-lb plastic bags; produced and packaged Sept. 27 – 28, 2017 and Oct. 2, 2017) due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. The recalled products were shipped to institutions in New York and Pennsylvania.

Food Safety Recall: J & B Sausage Company, Inc. (d.b.a. J Bar B Foods) recalls H-E-B Fully Cooked Smoked Seasoned Shredded Beef with BBQ sauce (16-oz and 28-oz trays; Use by Dec. 15 2017) due to possible contamination with pieces of plastic. The recalled products were shipped to retail locations in Texas.

Food Safety Recall: Bel Brands USA, Inc. recalls Port Wine flavor of Merkts Cheese Spread (14-oz; Best before April 29, 2018; Plant code LC2442A; UPC 76306 60200) due to possible contamination with small pieces of plastic. The recalled product was sold by retailers nationwide.

Food Safety Recall: Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. (Kenosha, WI) recalls Meat and Bean Soup in Tomato Base (24-lb boxes; Lot code 354191-2767) and Santa Fe Style Turkey and White Chicken Chili with Beans (24-lb boxes; Lot code 354464-2767) due to possible contamination with pieces of plastic. The recalled products were sold to retail stores to be prepared for sale to consumers in the soup bar area.

Food Safety Recall: Battistoni Italian Specialty Meats, LLC (Buffalo, NY) recalls approximately 22,630 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) Genoa Salami and Capocollo products that may be contaminated with a foreign material (aluminum clip). Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products, which were shipped to foodservice establishments in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Food Safety Recall: Organic Spices, Inc. dba Spicely Organics (Fremont, CA) recalls Organic Tarragon (0.4 oz; Lot No. OTW100134) due to Salmonella contamination. The recalled product was distributed in: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. It reached customers through retails stores and e-commerce.

Food Safety Recall/Outbreak Alert: Vermont Livestock Slaughter and Processing, LLC (Ferrisburg, VT) recalls Bread & Butter Farm Ground Beef (1-lb vacuum-sealed pkg; Lot codes #072517BNB and #072417BNB) due to E. coli O157:H7 contamination. The recalled product has been implicated in two cases of E. coli O157:H7 illness.

Dietary Supplement Safety Recall: Hardcore Formulations recalls all lots and expiration dates of Ultra-Sten and D-Zine capsules due to presence of methylstenbolone (Ultra-Sten) and dymethazine (D-Zine), which are considered to be derivatives of anabolic steroids.

Allergy Alert: Industry recalls Clif Builder’s brand Chocolate Mint Protein Bar (68g individual and multi-packs; Product codes From 2016JN19M6 to 2018MR08M6) and Clif Builder’s brand Protein Bars Variety Pack (18 x 68g; From 2016JN18M55210 to 2018FE147095) due to undeclared peanuts, tree nuts and coconut. The recalled product was supplied to retailers nationwide.

Allergy Alert: Newlyweds Foods Co. recalls various Newlyweds Foods Co. brand breadings due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of recalled products, which were distributed to hotels, restaurants and institutional customers in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec.

Food Safety Alert: Par’s Natural Foods, LLC alerts the public that Par’s Natural Foods Pueblo Green Chili Sauce (16 and 32 oz containers) as the product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.

Food Safety Recall: Mountain Fresh Dairy, LLC recalls Mountain FRESH KOSHER DAIRY CHOLOV YISROEL 1% Lowfat Milk (half-gallon plastic containers; Use by JUL 07 2017) due to improper pasteurization. The recalled milk was sold at three Non Profit Grocery Stores in New Jersey (NPGS) and was also distributed by the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) in Broome County, New York

Food Safety Recall: Vinh Hoan USA, Inc. recalls approximately 84,000 pounds of imported frozen Swai fillet products that were distributed into U.S. commerce without meeting federal requirements. Canada

Outbreak Alert: Public Health Agency of Canada alerts the public to an outbreak of 20 cases of Cyclospora in British Columbia (5) and Ontario (15). The source of the outbreak has not yet been identified.

Food Safety Recall/Outbreak Alert (Updates): MAPAQ and the City of Montreal urge consumers to avoid products containing IQF whole raspberries due to Norovirus contamination. Please refer to the June 28, 2017 and June 29, 2017 advisories for lists of affected products. A number of illnesses linked to the raspberries have been reported to MAPAQ.

Food Safety Recall (France): La société VF recalls Les Economiques brand 20% ground meat (800g; Lot 7171C02; Expiry date 27 June 2017) and unbranded 20% ground steak (2 x 100g; Lot 7171S02; Expiry date 27 June 2017) due to E. coli O157:H7 contamination. The recalled products were sold in AUCHAN supermarkets during the period between 21/06/2017 and 26/06/2017.
