OUTBREAK ALERT / FOOD SAFETY ALERT (Denmark): The Danish Veterinary and Food Adminstration has ordered a production halt at Tyrkeren Odder after three confirmed cases of listeriosis were associated with consumption of hummus from this company. Consumers are urged to discard hummus, dates, olives in oil, and other products from this company.

FOOD SAFETY ALERT (UK): FSA is issuing precautionary egg safety and handling advice to consumers in relation to a limited number of British Lion Eggs with flock code 1UK11871 and three Best Before dates because a very small number of these eggs may be contaminated with Salmonella. Allergy Alert (Belgium): Unilever recalls Zwan Leverpastei / Pâté de Foie / Liver pâté (Expiry date 06-2021) due to undeclared milk and/or eggs.

Allergy Alert (Finland): Paulig recalls Psyllium fiber powder (Lot 4001980; Best before 30.12.2020) due to undeclared sesame and mustard seeds.

Food Safety Recall: Tip Top Poultry, Inc. recalls approximately 135,810 pounds of fully cooked poultry products due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled products were linked to a Canadian outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes illnesses. Food Safety Recall: AWERS, Inc. recalls Grained Salmon Caviar / Sockeye Salmon Caviar (95g; Best before JUL 03 2020, JUL 15 2020, SEP 17 2020, OCT 07 2020, OCT 13 2020) due to possible contamination with Clostridium botulinum.

OUTBREAK ALERT / FOOD SAFETY RECALL: Rosemount Sales and Marketing recalls Rosemount brand Cooked diced chicken meat 13 mm – ½” (#16305) (4.54kg; PACKDATE: 01/21/19; UPC 2 06 20263 12454 7) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product, which was supplied to hotels, restaurants and institutions in several provinces, has been linked to an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes illnesses in Manitoba, British Columbia and Ontario.
