Allergy Alert (UK): LIDL GB recalls J.D. GROSS Mozart Kugeln (200g; All batch codes and Best before dates) because the packaging does not provide English language declaration of the following allergens: egg, gluten, milk, almond, hazelnut, pistachio, peanuts and soya.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Norenca N.V. recalls Americain préparé and Americain préparé martino (+/- 175gr, +/-350gr & +/-850g: Lots #01942289 & 01942290; Best before 23/10/2019 & 24/10/2019) due to Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall (France): Leader Price recalls Leader Price brand Assortiment asiatique avec 3 sauces / Asian assortment with three sauces (360g; Lot 194033; Best before 26/10/2019) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Oberhohenrieder Landbrotbäckerei Ed. Wolf GmbH recalls Marmorkuchen / Marble cake (Sold October 18-19, 2019), due to foreign matter (2cm long partially insulated piece of wire) contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Ireland): Celtic Pure recalls certain batches of bottled water due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and/or E. coli contamination. Food Safety Recall (New Zealand): Cavan Farm Fresh Milk recalls specific batches of its raw (unpasteurised) drinking milk (Batch codes 0710, 0810, 0910, 1010, 1110, 1210, 1310, 1410; Batches purchased between 7 October and 14 October 2019) due to potential Campylobacter contamination.

United States

OUTBREAK ALERT: Pennsylvania Department of Health warns residents not to consume milk from Creamworks Creamery in Waymart, Wayne County, after 17 cases of Yersinia enterocolitica infection and numerous additional digestive illnesses were linked to milk sold at this dairy.

OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: CDC reports 93 cases of lab-confirmed Salmonella illnesses in people exposed to pig ear dog treats in 27 states. The outbreak now encompasses four different serotypes of Salmonella, including: 4,[5],12:i:-, Infantis, Newport, and London.

Food Safety Recall: Gaia Garden Herbals Inc. recalls Gaia Garden Herbal Dispensary brand Gaia Balancing Tea (variable weight; Sold from June 12, 2019 to July 22, 2019, inclusive) due to Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Boucherie Distinction recalls SAUMON FUMÉ SUR PLACE / Salmon smoked on site (variable weights; Best before 10 August 2019) because the product may be unsafe for consumption.

OUTBREAK ALERT (DENMARK): The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration reports 50 cases of Campylobacter infections traced to chicken meat from a specific Danish chicken slaughterhouse. The outbreak investigation is ongoing.

OUTBREAK ALERT: CDC alerts consumers to potential exposures to a drug-resistant Brucella strain RB51 (RB51) in 19 states, connected to consuming raw (unpasteurized) milk from Miller’s Biodiversity Farm in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. One case of RB51 infection (brucellosis) has been confirmed in New York.

Allergy Alert: Birdseed Food Co. recalls Craft Granola Goldenola Turmeric & Ginger (11oz and 3oz pkgs; All expiration dates up to and including 061419) due to undeclared cashews.

Allergy Alert: Don Paco Lopez Panaderia Inc. recalls Sweet Bread (16-oz packages; all batches and dates) due to undeclared milk. The recalled products were distributed in New York State.
