FOOD SAFETY ALERT – UPDATE: FDA advises restaurants and retailers not to serve or sell and consumers not to eat certain raw oysters from Dai One Food Co., Ltd., and Central Fisheries Co., Ltd., Republic of Korea, due to potential Norovirus contamination. Please refer to the FDA advisory for details on the affected products. The oysters have been implicated in five cases of Norovirus gastroenteritis among restaurant patients in Hawaii.
Food Safety Recall: Johnsonville, LLC recalls Johnsonville BEDDAR with CHEDDAR Smoked Sausage links MADE WITH 100% PREMIUM PORK (14 oz vacuum packs; Best by 07/11/2023 C35) due to foreign matter contamination (very thin strands of black plastic fibers).
Food Safety Recall Update: Cricket Creek Farm expands earlier recall to include an additional product because of potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination and because pasteurization records did not illustrate the heating element reached required temperature. Food Safety Recall: Marché Kim Po (Montréal, QC) recalls various cut fruits and vegetables, peanuts, and kimchi packaged and sold by the company, because these products may not have been packaged and held under conditions that would assure their safety for human consumption.
Food Safety Recall: Hafner Canada Inc. recalls Sélection du Pâtissier brand Framboisier Cake (1.6 kg (14 pre-cut servings); Lots 3114 & 3128; UPC 6 22267 00901 7) and WOW! OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION (NORWAY): The Norwegian Institute of Public Health has detected an outbreak of six cases of E. coli in individuals living in various parts of the country. The cases were reported between October 2022 and May 2023.
