OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: CDC reports 509 confirmed Cyclospora infections in 8 states, with 33 hospitalizations. Cases have been linked to consumption of bagged salad mixes produced by Fresh Express and sold under several different brand names. Allergy Alert: FSIS issues Public Health Alert for GRILLED SEASONED NATURAL DICED CHICKEN BREAST WITH RIB MEAT produced by BrucePac (25-lb. cardboard boxes containing 5-lb bags; Code date 06110D) due to undeclared soy. No recall has been requested, as the product is not available for consumers to purchase. The product was handed out to consumers in the Fort Worth, Texas area as part of a food bank program on June 29, 2020.

Canada

OUTBREAK ALERT: The Pubic Health Agency of Canada reports 37 confirmed Cyclospora infections in 3 provinces, with one hospitalization. Cases have been linked to consumption of bagged salad mixes produced by Fresh Express and sold under the Fresh Express brand name across Canada. FDA Warning Letter: FDA issues Warning Letter to pet food manufacturer Lea-Way Farms Inc. dba Blue Ridge Beef, listing insanitary conditions, presence of Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes in a finished product sample, and inadequate or non-existent examination of raw materials to ensure they were suitable for manufacturing and processing into animal food.
