OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: FDA is participating in the investigation of two new multistate Salmonella outbreaks with a combined case count of 203 confirmed infections. No specific food source has been identified so far.
Public Health Alert: FSIS issues Public Health Alert for certain frozen RTE meat and poultry taquitos and chimichangas items were produced by Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. containing Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated diced green chilies that have been recalled by the producer, Sun Valley Foods, LLC based in El Paso, Texas, due to concerns that the products may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically hard plastic. Allergy Alert: Velvet Ice Cream recalls Raspberry Fudge Cordial Ice Cream (56 oz; Batch code A2 19521 26-012; UPC 0-7068210049-7) due to undeclared peanuts.
