Outbreak/Illness Investigations
DENMARK (Update): The Statens Serum Institute has recorded 18 cases of Salmonella Enteritidis infections since April 2026. The illnesses are linked to a common school meal scheme at several schools in the Capital Region. The specific source of the outbreak strain remains under investigation.

Food Safety Recall: Nassar Investments recalls Malazi Tahina (1 kg bottle; Exp 30/12/2026; UPC 6 224011 088244) due to Salmonella contamination.
Public Health Alert : CDPH warns the public to avoid consuming Brad’s Plant Based Crunchy Kale and Salad Snack products (distributed by Snack Right Super Foods, Inc. and Brad’s Raw Chips, LLC) due to elevated levels of thallium. The products to avoic include: Brad’s Crunchy Kale Original, Brad’s Crunchy Kale Vampire Killer, Brad’s Balsamic Salad Snack, Brad’s Ranch Salad Snack, Brad’s Crunchy Kale Cheeze It Up, Brad’s Crunchy Kale Nacho, Brad’s Crunchy Kale Radical Ranch, and Brad’s Veggie Chips Kale.
Pet Food Safety Recall: My Pet Carnivore recalls Coarse Ground Whole Goat (Mfg Mar 9–Apr 3, 2026), Coarse Ground Lamb (Mfg Mar 23–27, 2026) Coarse Ground Whole Mutton (Mfg Mar 16-20, 2026) and Fine Ground Mutton (Mfg Jan 22–27, 2026) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Customers were notified of the recall by email.
