Outbreak/Illness Investigations
USA (ILLINOIS): The Illinois Department of Public Health and the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service are continuing their investigation into three cases of Listeria monocytogenes linked to consumption of Daisy Brand headcheese purchased from three different locations in the state of Illinois. The FSIS has confirmed the presence of the outbreak strain in a sample of DAISY BRAND Meat Products HEADCHEESE (Use by MAR 26 2026). The headcheese was manufactured by Crawford Sausage Co., Inc. (Chicago, IL).
