OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION UPDATE—Lead poisoning: FDA has now received 82 confirmed complaints/reports of adverse events potentially linked to recalled Cinnamon Applesauce products

Allergy Alert: World Variety Produce, Inc. recalls Melissa’s Kimchi Hot (14 oz; Lots 48528201, 48858701, 49003901 & 49003901-W0) due to undeclared fish.

FDA Warning Letters: FDA issues Warning Letters to US Gulf Coast Trading Co., Inc. (Houston, TX), Desserts by Helen, Inc. (Louisville, KY), and Cooperstown Cheese Company, LLC (Milford, NY) due to various violations of the federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION (UK): The Food Standards Agency and the UK Health Security Agency report at least 30 confirmed cases of E. coli O145 illnesses linked to consumption of cheeses sold by Mrs. Kirkham’s Lancashire Cheese Ltd. (See also recall notice, below).

Allergy Alert (France): Manufacturer recalls Didden brand pickles en sauce / Pickles in sauce (Lots CH1.23.307 CH1.23.201; Best before 03/05/2025) due to undeclared mustard and sulphites.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): AFSCA orders recall of BERGERONNETTE PERAIL DU FEDOU / Cheese (150g; Lot 23.333.002; Use by 08/01/2024) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Cora recalls ALNATURA brand  BAIES DE GOJI BIO / Organic goji berries (100g; Best before dates from 04/07/2024 to 22/10/2024) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall (France): GUYADER TRAITEUR FRAIS recalls du goût et c’est tout brand Poulpes à l’ail et au persil / Octopus with garlic and parsley (150g; Lots 339000, 334100, 334500, 334600, 335300, 335400, 335500, 335600; Use by dates between 04/01/2024 and 24/01/2024) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Wolf GmbH recalls Geflügel-Schinkenpastete / Chicken and ham pie (100g; Lot L938421; Best before 10.01.2024) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
