OUTBREAK ALERT (Texas): The Texas Department of State Health Services has ordered a recall of all oysters harvested in the TX 1 area of southeastern Galveston Bay (shell and shucked oysters harvested in the area from Nov. 17 through Dec. 7) after reports of a few dozen cases of gastrointestinal illness among people who ate oysters from those waters. Reported symptoms include fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, chills and headache.
Allergy Alert: Hartzler Family Dairy (Wooster, OH) recalls Hartzler Family brand Egg Nog (1-qt bottles; Sell by 12/15 and 12/25) due to undeclared allergens (absence of ingredient list).
Food Safety Alert: The Ohio Department of Agriculture issues a health alert for Seville Spread and Seville Spread Brown Sugar Cinnamon (4oz & 8oz pkgs; Batch No. 221112), made by Yellow House Cheese LLC (Seville, OH) due to the lack of antibiotic testing and pasteurization records for the milk used to make the cheese.

Food Safety Recall: Jan K. Overweel Limited recalls Igor brand Gorgonzola mild ripened blue-veined cheese (350g; Lot 2777001; Best before 2023/FE/01; UPC 8 021398 400069) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was sold in Ontario and Quebec.
Food Safety Recall: Café Lazio (La Prairie, QC) recalls multiple soups and sauces (1L glass jars; Sold on or before 9 December 2022) due to potential for improper storage due to lack of mandated labeling.
