Food Safety Recall: Doughgirls Baking Inc. (dba, Doughgirls Comfort Kitchen & Bakeshop) recalls King Ranch Casserole (small and large sizes; All products sold between October 20, 2021 and December 20, 2021) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Europe
OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION (Denmark): The Statens Serum Institute reports an active outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 illnesses. Thirteen outbreak-related infections have been identified since December 3, 2021, including three children who have developed Haemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). Nine of the thirteen patients have been hospitalized. The source of the outbreak has not yet been determined.

Allergy Alert (UK): Welsh Speciality Foods recalls Welsh Chunky Piccalilli (280g; Batch codes PIC2021, PIC2441 and PIC3481; Best before 21 October 2022, 01 December 2022 and 14 March 2023) due to undeclared mustard.
