United States

OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: CDC reports 869 confirmed cases of Salmonella Newport infections linked to consumption of onions produced by Thomson International, Inc. (Bakersfield, CA). Infections have been reported in 47 states, and 116 of the outbreak victims have been hospitalized.

Allergy Alert: Faribault Foods Inc recalls PROGRESSO ORGANIC CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP (14-oz cans; BestByMAY262022 printed on the can bottom; Best by 09JUN2022 on product case) due to undeclared milk, soy, beef and pork.

Food Safety Recall: HelloFresh recalls all onions supplied from May 8 through July 31, 2020 due to potential Salmonella contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Allergy Alert Update: Kam Wah Resources Co. Ltd. recalls OKF brand Rice Milk Original (500 ml; Product code M.21.01.2020.06; Expiration date EXP.20.01.2022.B; UPC 8 809041 428840) due to undeclared milk.

Food Safety Recall: Aux Vivres (Montreal) recalls tempeh products and veggie burgers due to potential Bacillus cereus contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: Compagnie nationale d’importation de harengs ltée (Montreal) recalls Tartinade de truite fumée / smoked trout tartinade (160g; Best before 14 septembre 2020) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Fruits de mer des Îles-de-la-Madeleine (Îles-de-la-Madeleine) recalls  MOULES FUMÉES DANS L’HUILE / Smoked mussels in oil (125ml glass jar; All product sold up to and including 13 August 2020) because the product may not be safe to consume.

Allergy Alert (Finland): Fine Foods Oy Ltd recalls Spice Up! Punainen thai currykastike / Red curry sauce (100g; Best before 4.4.2022) due to undeclared fish and shellfish.

Allergy Alert (Germany): MAHO GmbH recalls Bilir Kurabiye Özel Lezzetler Kakao Kekse / Cocoa biscuits (300g; Lot #15 20; Best before 15.01.2021) due to undeclared lactose (milk sugar).

Allergy Alert (Luxembourg): MASSEPAIN SLEEUBUS recalls Massepain Sleeubus brand Massepain enrobée de chocolat / Chocolate covered marzipan (100g & 40g; Best before 13/12/20 and 14/02/21) due to undeclared soy.

Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Cora recalls Loué (LDC Group) brand Poulet blanc entier / Whole white chicken (Lot 2020036427; Best by 18/08/2020 and 20/08/2020) due to Salmonella Typhimurium contamination.
