United States

OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: CDC reports 509 confirmed Cyclospora infections in 8 states, with 33 hospitalizations. Cases have been linked to consumption of bagged salad mixes produced by Fresh Express and sold under several different brand names. Allergy Alert: FSIS issues Public Health Alert for GRILLED SEASONED NATURAL DICED CHICKEN BREAST WITH RIB MEAT produced by BrucePac (25-lb. cardboard boxes containing 5-lb bags; Code date 06110D) due to undeclared soy. No recall has been requested, as the product is not available for consumers to purchase. The product was handed out to consumers in the Fort Worth, Texas area as part of a food bank program on June 29, 2020.

Canada

OUTBREAK ALERT: The Pubic Health Agency of Canada reports 37 confirmed Cyclospora infections in 3 provinces, with one hospitalization. Cases have been linked to consumption of bagged salad mixes produced by Fresh Express and sold under the Fresh Express brand name across Canada. Allergy Alert: Gourmet Sauvage recalls Gourmet Sauvage brand mustard products due to undeclared sulphites. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: Les Jardins Carya inc. recalls two soup varieties (1 L mason jars; all product sold up to 10 July 2020) as the products were not held under constant refrigeration until the time of purchase and the product labels lack an instruction to “keep refrigerated.” Please refer to the recall notice for additional details on the affected products.

Allergy Alert (Finland): Kesko Oyj recalls K-Menu Chilipähkinät / K-Menu Chili Nuts (500g; Batch code 086062; Best Before 1.10.2020) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert (France): Carrefour recalls Carrefour brand Madeleine coquille aux oeufs frais / Madeleine shell with fresh eggs (600g; Lot #T 0160; Best before 06/10/2020) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert (Ireland): Industry recalls S&B Golden Curry, Japanese Curry Mix, Medium Hot (1 kg; Best before 22/12/2020, 16/03/2021, 07/05/2021, 23/05/2021, 12/06/2021 and 10/07/2021) due to undeclared celery and mustard.

Allergy Alert (UK): JFC (UK) Ltd recalls S&B Golden Curry Medium Hot Sauce Mix (1 Kg; Best before 22 December 2020, 16 March 2021, 07 May 2021, 23 May 2021, 12 June 2021, 10 July 2021) due to undeclared celery and mustard.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Herm. Schepers & Comp. GmbH & Co. KG recalls Salame Felino g.g.A. (100g; Best before 28.08.2020 & 04.09.2020) due to Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Jagdhaus Rech recalls Wildschwein-Fleischstücke einschließlich Innereien / pieces of wild boar, including offal (Available for sale between June 23, 2020 and July 1, 2020) because it cannot be relied upon that the wild boar meat was examined for trichinae.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Fa. Landwirt Reiner Pigors recalls Burtschützer Frühlingshonig / spring honey (250g & 500g glass jars; Expiry date 29. May 2021) due to foreign matter (metal pieces) contamination.

Food Safety Recall (New Zealand): Natural Field Enterprises Ltd recalls PMN Kacang Wangi brand Peanut Cracker (770g plastic jar; Best before 28.04.2021 due to the presence of toxins above acceptable levels.
