OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: FDA is investigating a new food-related outbreak of 264 confirmed Salmonella Typhimurium infections. No specific food source has yet been identified.
Food Safety Recall: Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc. recalls approximately 93,697 pounds of raw ground beef products due to possible foreign matter contamination (reflective mirror-like material). Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION UPDATE (Denmark): The Statens Serum Institut reports that the outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes linked to fish cakes has increased to nine confirmed cases.

Food Recall (UK): Coca-Cola recalls Coca-Cola Zero Sugar multipacks with Christmas cardboard (Multipack of 24 x 330 ml cans; Batch codes 301WA1, 302WA1, 303WA1, 304WA1, 305WA5, 306WA5, 307WA5 and 308WA5; Best before 31 October 2023 and 30 November 2023) because some packs have been wrongly boxed and may contain Coca-Cola Original taste. This makes the product a potential risk to consumers who need to manage their sugar intake.

Cases of illness among people who have consumed poppy seeds have been reported in Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory.
