USA: FDA has initiated traceback investigation into an outbreak of 18 cases of Salmonella Enteritidis linked to a not-yet-identified food.
USA (Louisiana): Louisiana Department of Health is investigating an outbreak of 15 cases of Norovirus in New Orleans linked to consumption of oysters. See below for recall information.

Food Safety Recall: Louisiana Department of Health has closed a molluscan shellfish harvesting area in Area 3 and has ordered a recall of all oysters harvested from that area since January 10, 2025 due to Norovirus contamination.

CANADA (Update): PHAC reports that the Salmonella outbreak linked to imported frozen mini-pastries has grown to 69 confirmed cases, including 22 hospitalizations. Cases have been reported from British Columbia (4), Alberta (3), Ontario (24), Québec (37), and New Brunswick (1). An addition recall associated with this outbreak has been announced (see below).
