Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA (Final Update): CDC and FDA have closed their investigation into an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes linked to consumption of frozen supplement shakes manufactured for Lyons Magnus LLC by Prairie Farm Dairy Inc., of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The outbreak caused 14 deaths out of a confirmed total of 42 illnesses (41 hospitalizations).

USA (Update): CDC reports that the number of confirmed Salmonella Muenchen infections linked to contact with geckos has increased from 8 to 14 since the initial report in March 2025. Cases have been reported from 11 states. One person has been hospitalized.

USA: FDA is investigating an new outbreak of 5 cases of hepatitis linked to a not-yet-identified product.

USA (Update): FDA continues to investigate two outbreaks of Salmonella Enteritidis infections linked to not-yet-identified products. The combined number of cases in these outbreaks has risen to 92.

USA (Update): FDA and USDA continue to investigate two outbreaks of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to not-yet-identified products. The combined number of cases in these outbreaks has risen to 26.
