OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: FDA and CDC continue their investigation into the source of a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora illnesses linked to Fresh Express Salad Mix served at McDonalds outlets in IL, IA, IN, WI, MI, OH, MN, NE, SD, MT, ND, KY, WV, and MO. As of August 16th, the federal agencies have received reports of 476 illnesses in 15 states.

Allergy Alert: Marsee Foods, Inc. dba Marsee Baking recalls chocolate chip, ginger spice, and oatmeal raisin cookies sold at Café Yumm! restaurants due to undeclared peanuts. The recalled products were sold at Café Yumm! restaurants in Oregon and Washington between August 6, 2018 and August 15, 2018.

Food Safety Recall: The Quay Corporation recalls MARGARITA MANTECA PORK LARD (28-oz. sealed plastic cups; sell by dates from Jan. 29, 2017 through Dec. 22, 2018) that was produced without the benefit of federal inspection. The recalled product was shipped to retail locations in Texas.
