OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: CDC and FDA report 206 confirmed cases of Cyclospora infections in 8 upper mid-western states. Twenty-three people have been hospitalized. The outbreak has been linked to consumption of bagged salad mixes produced by Fresh Express and sold through a variety of retailers. Please refer to the CDC and FDA notices for additional information on the outbreak investigation.

Allergy Alert: Whole Foods Market recalls Red Velvet Cheesecake Slices (PLU 78620; Product sell-by dates through July 1, 2020; sold in select Whole Foods Market stores in California, Boise, Idaho, and Reno, Nevada.) due to undeclared walnuts.

Allergy Alert: Beyond Better Foods, LLC recalls Enlightened brand Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream (pint containers; Best by November 5, 2021) due to undeclared milk.

Food Safety Recall: Norpac Fisheries Export recalls all fresh shrimp poke distributed in the Hawaiian Islands between May 11, 2020 and June 25, 2020 due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Fresh Express recalls branded and private label salad products produced at its Streamwood, IL facility that contain iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and/or carrot ingredients due to potential Cyclospora contamination. While there have been no reported illnesses in Canada associated with these products, bagged salad mixes have been linked to an outbreak of cyclosporiasis in the USA. OUTBREAK ALERT UPDATE: CDC and FDA are continuing to investigate a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora illnesses that has affected 122 individuals in 7 states and 19 of the outbreak victims required hospitalization. The outbreak has been linked to consumption of bagged salad mixes. Several products have been recalled, but the recalled items do not account for all of the reported cases, according to CDC. Please refer to the list of recalled items, below.

Allergy Alert: Mount Franklin Foods, LLC dba Azar Nut Company recalls 7-Select Yogurt Pretzels (5-oz pouch; Lots YR20140 & JT20147; Best by May/19/2021 and May/26/2021, respectively) due to undeclared peanuts.

Allergy Alert: Trident Seafoods recalls Gordon Choice® Imitation Crab Supreme Style (40-oz pkg; Lot codes M828803, M904202, M916303, M935004, M016004) due to undeclared egg.

Allergy Alert: Flagstone Foods LLC recalls North Star Sweet & Salty Caramel Trail Mix (14 oz; Lot code 05M04210; Expiration date 04/22/2021) due to undeclared cashews.
