CANADA (Update): PHAC reports 23 confirmed cases of E. coli O26:H11 illnesses in an outbreak that has spread to seven provinces. Five people have been hospitalized. There have been no deaths. Many people who became sick reported eating or handling Pillsbury brand Pizza Pops.

USA: CDC, FDA and partners in several states are investigating an outbreak of 64 confirmed cases of Salmonella Telelkebir in 22 states. Twenty people have been hospitalized. Of the 27 people interviewed, 20 (74%) reported eating raw oysters in the week before becoming ill. CDC and FDA are working to determine the source of the oysters.
