Allergy Alert: Whole Foods Market (Hadley, MA) recalls Made Right Here 6pk Banana Choc Chip Muffins (Sell by March 28, 2017) due to undeclared walnuts.

Allergy Alert: Sunshine Bakery (Alhambra, CA) recalls Cassava Cake and Mixed Nut Mooncake (Best before 3/24/2017) because the products may contain undeclared peanut, coconut, almond, cashew and sunflower seeds.

Allergy Alert: NuGo Nutrition recalls NuGo Slim Crunchy Peanut Butter (Sell by 28-Jul-17; UPC 69153520701) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was sold at Giant Eagle and may also have been available elsewhere.

Allergy Alert: King Wai Trading Co. recalls KWEI CHOW Prime Spicy Pot Paste (7.1 oz; UPC 471022600207) due to undeclared wheat. The recalled product was sold at QFC and Ralph’s stores.

Food Safety Recall: The French’s Food Company LLC recalls French’s Crispy Jalapeños (5 oz.; Best By 5/25/18; UPC code: 41500-95309) because the product may contain foreign material (metal & stone particulates). The recalled product was sold at Buehler’s and may also have been available elsewhere.

Food Safety Recall: Kidsmart Food Service Inc. (San Diego, CA) recalls various breaded chicken (code date of 12/20/17) that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products per the supplier. This is related to the recall from OK Foods Inc. The recalled product was supplied by US Foods to foodservice customers.

Dietary Supplement Safety Recall: Envy Me recalls LaBri’s Body Health Atomic weight-loss dietary supplement (all lot codes, manufacturing codes and expiration dates) because the product contains sibutramine, a controlled substance that was removed from the market in October 2010 for safety reasons.

Canada

Outbreak Alert: The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) warns consumers not to use or eat any Robin Hood All Purpose Flour, Original sold in 10 kilogram bags with a code containing BB/MA 2018 AL 17 and 6 291 548 as these products may be contaminated with E. coli O121. The flour has been linked to an E. coli outbreak affecting 25 people in British Columbia (12), Saskatchewan (4), Alberta (4) and Newfoundland and Labrador (5).

Allergy Alert: La Reine Pâtisserie (Montreal, QC) recalls two bakery products due to undeclared sesame seeds. Please refer to the recall notice for product details.

Allergy Alert (Update): Purposeful Excellence Inc. recalls Booby Boons brand Lactation Cookies due to undeclared peanuts. Please refer to the recall notice for product details.

Food Safety Recall: Pâtisserie La Lorraine inc. (Montreal, QC) recalls Sauce au poulet/Chicken sauce (All product sold through March 23) because the product label is lacking an instruction to refrigerate the product.

Food Safety Recall: Smucker Foods of Canada Corp. recalls Robin Hood brand All Purpose Flour, Original (10 kg; Best before April 17, 2018; Production code 6 291 548; UPC 0 59000 01652 8) because the product may be contaminated with E. coli O121. The recalled flour was sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Allergy Alert (UK): Sainsbury’s recalls Sainsbury’s Vegetable Sushi Snack Pack (Batch code 7796512; Use by 28 March 2017) due to undeclared tuna and prawns.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Schock GmbH recalls Sesam La Creme (Batch 60318; Best by 01.02.2018) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Lactalis Deutschland GmbH recalls Roquefort Cheese (100g; Expiry date 15.07.2017; Product identification FR 12.203.018 CE; Manufactured by Société des caves, France) due to contamination with a strain of shigatoxin-producing Escherichia coli.

Food Safety Recall (Luxembourg): Mathonet-Gabriel recalls Mousse de truite saumonée fumée/Smoked Salmon Trout Mousse (150g; Best by 04/04/2017; Lot #M-0622) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Hong Kong): Marks & Spencer recalls Chicken and Vegetable Soup (600g; Use by March 30, 2017; Product code 00711135; Product of UK) as the product might be tainted with chemical contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Israel): YS Vegetables Inc. recalls Iceberg Lettuce (833g and 6 lbs; bar codes 2743369327249 and 2743369327236) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

United States

Outbreak Alert: CDC reports that at least six people become infected with Listeria monocytogenes after consuming soft raw milk cheese made by Vulto Creamery of Walton, New York. All six people were hospitalized and two have died. The outbreak strain of Listeria monocytogenes has been recovered from leftover cheese collected from the home of one of the dead patients and from intact wheels of cheese obtained from the creamery by the New York Division of Milk Control and Dairy Services. Listeria monocytogenes infections have a long incubation period and more cases may yet develop.

Allergy Alert: Gerber Products Company recalls Cheese Ravioli Gerber® Pasta Pick-Ups® (UPC code: 159070; all packages) due to undeclared egg in the ‘Contains’ statement that lists allergens.

Allergy Alert: Nonna Foods recalls Lidia’s Marinara Sauce (25-oz jar; Best By Date 06/13/2019) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert: BAK-EZ Bakery Company recalls 7-Select brand Mantecada muffin (4.0 oz; UPC 05254859241-7; sold in stores January 23rd to March 3rd 2017) due to undeclared milk. The recalled product was sold only in 7-Eleven stores in San Diego, Bakersfield and Los Angeles.

Allergy Alert: Picone Meat Specialties, LTD. recalls various dry fermented salami products due to undeclared non-fat dry milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall (expansion): Vulto Creamery expands its earlier recall to include all lots of Andes, Blue Blais, Hamden & Walton Umber cheeses manufactured from raw milk due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Food Safety Recall (expansion): Biery Cheese Co. expands its earlier recall to include GFS brand Monterey Jack Cheese with Jalapeno Peppers (1.5 lb; Sell by dates 07/19/17 and 07/20/17) due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (expansion): The SoyNut Butter Co. expands its earlier recall to include Dixie Diner’s Club brand Carb Not Beanit Butter (All Best Buy dates) due to potential contamination with E. coli O157:H7. The recalled product was only available for purchase via mail order or online portals.

Food Safety Recall: Whole Foods Market recalls Vulto Creamery cheeses from nine stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine and New York due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Please refer to the recall notice for a list of affected stores.

Food Safety Recall: King’s Command Foods, LLC recalls various meatballs and chicken fried steak products due to potential foreign matter (metal object) contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Dietary Supplement Safety Recall: Regeneca Worldwide, a division of VivaCeuticals, Inc. recalls its entire line of herbal and dietary supplement products pursuant to a Consent Decree entered by the federal court for the Central District of California. This recall applies to all products manufactured and sold between June 1, 2011 and February 8, 2017. These products include, but are not limited to RegeneSlim, RegenErect, RegeneArouse, RegeneBlend, RegeneBoost, RegeneBlast, and RegeneFit. ALL LOT #s ARE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL.

Allergy Alert: Remark Fresh Markets (Windsor, Ontario) recalls Lemon Blueberry Cobbler Loaf (400g; All lots) due to undeclared egg and milk.

Allergy Alert: Aliments Santé Biotope (Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC) recalls LE VG ROULÉ due to undeclared peanuts and other nuts, and TOFU GIN-GIN due to undeclared peanuts, wheat, milk, nuts, egg and sulfites.

Allergy Alert: Marché de la Rousselière inc. (Metro Plus, Montreal, QC) recalls YO-YO CRÈME AU CHOCOLAT ET À LA VANILLE due to undeclared nuts and sesame seeds, and ROULÉ FRAMBOISE COCONUT due to undeclared peanuts, wheat, shellfish, sesame seed, milk, mollusc, mustard, nuts, egg and fish.

Food Safety Recall: Industry recalls I.M. Healthy brand SoyNut Butter and Granola products from the marketplace due to possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: VanAmerongen & Son Inc. recalls Klassic Coconut brand Organic, Medium, Desiccated Coconut (25 lbs; Y-106-F-025-TP-16-342-Y1-0074-VAS-ORG F) due to Salmonella contamination. The recalled product was only distributed to the warehouse level.

Allergy Alert (Germany): Lidl Germany recalls Fischerstolz White Tiger Shrimp Aioli (150g; All Best before dates through 24.03.2017; manufactured by Heiploeg International B.V., Netherlands) due to undeclared mustard.

Allergy Alert (Ireland): Avoca recalls Avoca Food Market Tomato Chutney (320g pkg; all best before dates between 20th April 2018 and 22nd February 2019) due to undeclared mustard and sulphites.

Allergy Alert (UK): Seasalt Cornwall recalls Seasalt Cornwall Eton Mess White Chocolate Bar (100g; All Best before dates) and Seasalt Cornwall Lemon Meringue Chocolate Bar (95g; All Best before dates) due to undeclared egg.

Allergy Alert (UK): Best Fresh recalls six sandwich products due to undeclared barley (gluten), celery, milk, and/or sulphur dioxide or sulphites. Please refer to the recall notice for a detailed list of affected products.

Food Safety Alert (Czech Republic): The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority warns that minced meat mix 100% beef – pork (500g pkg; Use by 5 March 2017; produced by Zaklady Miesne Henryk Kania S.A., Oddzial w Mokrsku, Poland) is contaminated with Salmonella and should not be consumed.

Food Safety Recall (Denmark): Dansk Supermarked recalls Levevis brand catsup (Best before 11/08/2017 and 30/06/2017), Levevis brand Organic Creme Fraîche dressing (Best before 06/30/2017), Levevis brand Organic Garlic dressing (Best before 8/11/2017 and 06/30/2017) and Levevis brand Organic Thousand Island dressing (Best before 8/11/2017 and 07/07/2017), due to defective lids.

Food Safety Recall (France): Les Délices de la Mer recalls Soupe de poissons curry coco (1-L bottles; Best by B 23/01/2020 et B 25/01/2020) after company tests determined a problem with product stability. The recalled fish soup was sold in Lidl stores in France.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Steigerwald Mineralbrunnen GmbH recalls Steigerwald, Schwarzenbergquelle, and Owalis mineral waters (All lots) and Steigerwald, Owalis and Marktquelle sweetened beverages (All lots) after a glass sliver was found in a bottle of Steigerwald Naturell.

Allergy Alert: Landies Candies Co. Inc. recalls WEGMANS Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker (3 oz. net wt; Lot #35016; Best by 9-15-2017) due to undeclared peanuts.

Allergy Alert: Rochester Meat Company (Rochester, MN) recalls various pork sausage products due to undeclared monosodium glutamate. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Outbreak Alert (Update): CDC reports that four additional people have been confirmed to have been infected with E. coli O157:H7, increasing the confirmed case count to 16 people in 9 states. Fifteen (100%) of the 15 people reached for interview reported either eating I.M. Healthy brand SoyNut Butter at home (nine people) in the week before they became ill, attending a facility that served I.M. Health brand SoyNut Butter (two people), or attending childcare centers that served I.M. Healthy brand SoyNut Butter and I.M. Healthy brand granola coated with SoyNut Butter (four people).

Food Safety Recall: The Soynut Butter Co. expands its earlier recall to include all varieties of I.M. Healthy SoyNut Butters and all varieties of I.M. Healthy Granola products due to possible contamination with E. coli O157:H7. The expanded recall encompasses all Best By dates, flavors and package sizes.

Food Safety Recall: Vulto Creamery (Walton, NY) recalls all lots of Ouleout, Miranda, Heinennellie, and Willowemoc soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses after FDA finds Listeria monocytogenes in Ouleout Lot #617 and the New York Department of Agriculture and Markets finds possible contamination in Ouleout Lot #623. The recalled cheeses were distributed nationwide, with most sold in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, California, Chicago, Portland, and Washington, DC.

Food Safety Recall: F.B. Packing Co. Inc. (Boston, MA) recalls various shaved beef products that may be contaminated with plastic. Please refer to the recall notice for detailed information.

Dietary Supplement Safety Recall: A&H Focal Inc. recalls all lots of 21 different dietary supplements for male sexual enhancement, because many of these products have been historically tested by the FDA and found to contain PDE-5 Inhibitors (i.e. sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, etc.) which is the active ingredient in an FDA-approved drug for erectile dysfunction (ED) making these tainted dietary supplements unapproved drugs. Canada

Allergy Alert: Uncle Tom’s Farm Ltd. recalls The Cider Keg Apple BBQ Grilling Sauce (250 mL; all codes) due to undeclared anchovy. The recalled product was sold in Ontario and British Columbia.

Allergy Alert: Fruiterie du Plateau inc. (Montreal, QC) recalls Jambon cuit en tranches/Sliced Cooked Ham (all lots) due to undeclared milk.

Food Safety Recall: JD Sweid Foods (2013) Ltd. recalls Hampton House brand Chicken Strips (1.5 kg; All best before dates from January 20, 2018 through February 11, 2018) due to an error in preparation insructions on the label. The oven preparation instructions on the label should read: “Preheat to 204°C (400°F)”. The product may contain harmful bacteria that may cause food illnesses. The recalled chicken strips were sold at Costco Canada stores in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec

Allergy Alert (Finland): Vitaseege Oy Ab recalls Saitaku Miso Soup (72g; Best by 08/11/2017) due to undeclared wheat.
