Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA (Final Update): CDC and FDA have closed their investigation into an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes linked to consumption of frozen supplement shakes manufactured for Lyons Magnus LLC by Prairie Farm Dairy Inc., of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The outbreak caused 14 deaths out of a confirmed total of 42 illnesses (41 hospitalizations).

USA (Update): CDC reports that the number of confirmed Salmonella Muenchen infections linked to contact with geckos has increased from 8 to 14 since the initial report in March 2025. Cases have been reported from 11 states. One person has been hospitalized.

United States

Allergy Alert: South Asian Food Inc. recalls Bengal King Family Pack Vegetable Singara (1875g; Lot 007; Expiration date 06/10/2026; UPC 1824448372340) due to undeclared peanuts.

Food Safety Recall: Wells Enterprises, Inc. recalls multiple ice cream products due to foreign matter contamination (plastic).

Food Safety Recall: Poppies Bakeries LLC recalls Poppies brand Mini Éclairs (455g; Lot L1L4024; Best before 2026 AL 03; UPC 0 08563 95450 1) due to E. coli contamination.

Food Safety Recall (France): EARL CHAMP DE L’ETANG recalls Ferme du champ de l’étang brand Ronds Buche Pointe Crottins Pyramides Apero’biq Coeur / Goat cheeses (Lots 14/04 & 13/04; Best before 14/06/2025 & 03/16/2025, respectively) due to shiga toxin-producing E. coli contamination.
