Allergy Alert: Clif Bar & Company recalls CLIF® BUILDER’S® Bar Chocolate Mint flavor, CLIF Kid Zbar® Protein Chocolate Mint and CLIF Kid Zbar® Protein Chocolate Chip flavors due to undeclared peanuts and some tree nuts, including almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, walnuts and coconuts. Allergy Alert: Willow Tree Poultry Farm recalls Buffalo style chicken salad (12.5 oz. individual plastic containers; produced on June 27, 2017) due to undeclared tuna. The recalled products were shipped to Whole Foods Market locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York

Dietary Supplement Safety Recall: Hardcore Formulations recalls all lots and expiration dates of Ultra-Sten and D-Zine capsules due to presence of methylstenbolone (Ultra-Sten) and dymethazine (D-Zine), which are considered to be derivatives of anabolic steroids.

Canada

Allergy Alert: Industry recalls Clif Builder’s brand Chocolate Mint Protein Bar (68g individual and multi-packs; Product codes From 2016JN19M6 to 2018MR08M6) and Clif Builder’s brand Protein Bars Variety Pack (18 x 68g; From 2016JN18M55210 to 2018FE147095) due to undeclared peanuts, tree nuts and coconut. The recalled product was supplied to retailers nationwide.

Allergy Alert: Newlyweds Foods Co. recalls various Newlyweds Foods Co. brand breadings due to undeclared milk. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of recalled products, which were distributed to hotels, restaurants and institutional customers in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec.

Food Safety Recall: Maurice St-Laurent Limitée recalls St. Laurent Butter (454g; Product code 156 074; UPC 0 62260 00454 9) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled product was supplied to retailers in Quebec.

Food Safety Alert: Par’s Natural Foods, LLC alerts the public that Par’s Natural Foods Pueblo Green Chili Sauce (16 and 32 oz containers) as the product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.

Food Safety Recall: Mountain Fresh Dairy, LLC recalls Mountain FRESH KOSHER DAIRY CHOLOV YISROEL 1% Lowfat Milk (half-gallon plastic containers; Use by JUL 07 2017) due to improper pasteurization. The recalled milk was sold at three Non Profit Grocery Stores in New Jersey (NPGS) and was also distributed by the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) in Broome County, New York

Food Safety Recall: Vinh Hoan USA, Inc. recalls approximately 84,000 pounds of imported frozen Swai fillet products that were distributed into U.S. commerce without meeting federal requirements. Canada

Outbreak Alert: Public Health Agency of Canada alerts the public to an outbreak of 20 cases of Cyclospora in British Columbia (5) and Ontario (15). The source of the outbreak has not yet been identified.

Food Safety Recall/Outbreak Alert (Updates): MAPAQ and the City of Montreal urge consumers to avoid products containing IQF whole raspberries due to Norovirus contamination. Please refer to the June 28, 2017 and June 29, 2017 advisories for lists of affected products. A number of illnesses linked to the raspberries have been reported to MAPAQ.
