CANADA (Ontario): Toronto Public Health confirms two cases of Listeria monocytogenes linked to consumption of sliced ready-to-eat deli meat products. Please see recall notice, below.

Food Safety Recall: Youngstown Grape Distributors Inc. recalls Happy Moose Tropical Roots Juice (12 oz; Lot# H240903-E; Best by 12/02/2024) and Happy Moose Strawberry Fields (12 oz; Lot# H240903-H; Best by 12/02/2024) because a portion of the production made did not complete the High Pressure Processing (HPP) treatment.

Food Safety Recall: Verger Trois Pommes (Rougemont, QC) recalls SAUCE À SPAGHETTIS COMME MA MÈRE DU VERGER TROIS POMMES / Verger Trois Pommes brand Spaghetti sauce like mother used to make (All product sold up to 3 October 2024) due to a risk of Clostridium botulinum growth in the product.

Allergy Alert (UK): ASDA recalls ASDA Chicken Dinners (375g; Best before 05 September 2025) due to undeclared milk, egg, and barley (gluten).

FRANCE: Food Safety News reports five probable cases of botulism in one family, most likely linked to consumption of “O Ptits Oignons” brand wild garlic pesto. All five victims are in intensive care.

Food Safety Recall: Maple Leaf Foods Inc. recalls A & W brand Chicken Breast Portion Fully Cooked Breaded, Seasoned Boneless, Skinless, Fillets Removed (5 kg; Lot 4178; Production date 2024-JUN-26; UPC 63100 41087 2) due to undercooking. USA (Final Update): CDC reports 551 confirmed Salmonella illnesses, including 155 hospitalizations, linked to consumption of whole cucumbers from two (or more) Florida growers. None of the product remains on the market, and the growing season in that region has ended. The CDC considers this outbreak to be over.

United States

Allergy Alert: Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Overseas LLC recalls multiple Bliss Tree Butter Snacks varieties due to undeclared milk and sesame. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: Authentik Fudge recalls Chocolate Fudge with Nuts branded MONTREAL FUDGE (5.6 oz; Lots 0241500805, 0241690105, and 0241690205; Expiration dates 2025/MR/01, 2025/MR/17, and 2025/MR/17, respectively) due to potential for mold contamination.
