Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA: CDC and FDA are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Montevideo infections linked to consumption of cucumbers grown by Bedner Growers, Inc. (Florida). Twenty-six cases have been confirmed in 15 states. Nine people have been hospitalized.

USA (Update): FDA continues its investigation of a pair of Salmonella Enteritidis outbreaks linked to a not yet identified food. The combined total of confirmed cases has increased to 133.

Food Safety Recall: Bedner Growers, Inc. recalls cucumbers sold at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market between April 29, 2025, and May 14, 2025 due to possible Salmonella contamination.
