Outbreak/Illness Investigations

ARGENTINA: The Ministry of Health reports an outbreak of listeriosis linked to criollo cheese in multiple jurisdictions.

CANADA (Update): The Public Health Agency of Canada has confirmed 62 outbreak cases of Salmonella infection linked to consumption of various pistachios and pistachio-containing products. Ten people have been hospitalized. The outbreak is comprised of three different serotypes: Salmonella Havana, Salmonella Mbandaka, and Salmonella Meleagridis. Cases have been reported from British Columbia (5), Manitoba (1), Ontario (11), and Québec (45).

United States

Food Safety Recall: Jayone Foods, Inc. recalls Frozen Oyster Meat (Lot code B250206) due to possible Norovirus contamination.

Food Safety Recall: AND GO CONCEPTS DBA SALAD AND GO recalls multiple beverages (All lot codes) because the firm manufactured and distributed to retailers unpasteurized juice products in violation of 21 CFR 120 Juice HACCP regulations.

Food Safety Recall: FROMI USA recalls Brie Royal Faucon (1 kg; Lot 615; Product of France) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Canada

Food Safety Recall: Les Sucreries Chocofolie Inc. and Chocolats Favoris recall Various brands of Pistachio & Knafeh Milk Chocolate due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Ireland and United Kingdom

Food Safety Recall (Ireland): Trade recalls various batches of Brie Mariotte (product of France) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Allergy Alert (UK): Waitrose recalls Waitrose & Partners Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta (375g; Use by 27 August 2025) due to undeclared mustard.

Hong Kong and Singapore

Food Safety Recall (Hong Kong): Importers recall two kinds of soft cheese imported from France due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
