Outbreak/Illness Investigations

CANADA (Update): The Public Health Agency of Canada reports 32 confirmed outbreak cases of Salmonella Oranienburg linked to contact with certain Puppy Love and Puppy World brand raw pet treats. Eight people have been hospitalized. Outbreak cases have been reported in Alberta (14), British Columbia (15), Northwest Territories (1), and Ontario (2). The manufacturer has announced a product recall (see below).

Allergy Alert: Teasdale Foods, Inc. recalls Martin’s and Giant Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit (Lot code 25257; Best if used by MAR 13 26; UPC 68826757516) and Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kit (Lot code 25259; Best if used by MAR 15 2. UPC 4099100318715) due to undeclared milk.
