OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION (Final Update): CDC and FDA have terminated their investigation of an outbreak of 26 Listeria monocytogenes illnesses associated with consumption of queso fresco and cotija cheeses.Twenty-three of the 26 confirmed outbreak victims were hospitalized in the eleven-state outbreak, and there were two reported deaths.
OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: FDA has opened an investigation into an outbreak of eleven cases of Salmonella Typhimurium for which a source has not yet been identified.
