SWEDEN: The Swedish Food Agency and Public Health Agency are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis illnesses believed to be linked to imported eggs.

Europe (Multiple Countries): Denmark’s Statens Serum Institut has recorded 23 cases of Salmonella Umbilo ST2014 in an outbreak that has affected individuals in several countries, including Germany and Austria. Arugula lettuce is the suspected source of the outbreak.

USA: FDA has opened an investigation into a new outbreak of 3 cases of Salmonella Liverpool linked to a not yet identified product.

USA (Connecticut): The Connecticut Department of Health has confirmed two cases of Campylobacter infections linked to consumption of bottled raw milk.

Allergy Alert: USDA/FSIS issues Public Health Alert for Cranberry Chicken Salad with white meat chicken (12 oz; Use by 10/25/24) due to undeclared wheat.
