SPAIN: Food Safety News reports that at least 162 people have been infected by Salmonella after eating food at Trasan Fest festival held on June 27 and 28 in Oza Cesuras (A Coruña). Of these, 22 have required hospitalization.

MULTI-COUNTRY OUTBREAK: Beacon reports that a Salmonella Infantis outbreak linked to a ready-to-eat cashew mousse has sickened 98 children in Germany and Austria, with additional cases in Luxembourg and possibly the Czech Republic.
FRANCE (Update): ARS Haut-de-France reports that the number of cases of bloody diarrhea reported in Saint-Quentin has risen to 29. One victim has died and seven remain hospitalized.
USA (Update): FDA has completed its investigation into a multistate Salmonella outbreak linked to consumption of cucumbers from Bedner Growers Inc. According to the CDC, 69 people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonellawere reported from 21 states, and 22 were hospitalized. CDC has declared the outbreak over.
