INDONESIA: Health authorities are investigating 365 cases of foodborne illness in Sragen, Central Java, following consumption of school meals prepared in a centralized kitchen and distributed to multiple schools. Food distribution from the implicated kitchen has been suspended, and food samples are undergoing laboratory analysis.

CANADA (Update): The Public Health Agency of Canada has confirmed 62 outbreak cases of Salmonella infection linked to consumption of various pistachios and pistachio-containing products. Ten people have been hospitalized. The outbreak is comprised of three different serotypes: Salmonella Havana, Salmonella Mbandaka, and Salmonella Meleagridis. Cases have been reported from British Columbia (5), Manitoba (1), Ontario (11), and Québec (45).
